Thanks James. There is a stream that feeds into Upper Pond that I didn't check out and might be worth a look as it is a little more remote. Fishing the pond from the mouth of the stream as the silt and mud gets washed away providing a better wading opportunity.
Hoping to get into flu fishing this year. Great video. Now to binge watch the rest of yours looks like they are a couple of years old. Thanks for uploading them.
Thanks, gland to hear you enjoyed it. I spend some time out west in 2021 and 2022 and relesed a few videos. Last year I spend more time visiting some of my favorite spots in New Hampshire, but only released two of the fishing trips, as I was disappointed with what I was catching, and then where I was catching trout. This spring I'm planning to revisit some of those areas, as well as favorite rivers of mine in Vermont and upstate New York. So stay tuned, and good luck taking up Fly fishing! Enjoy, Steve
Wow man! Thanks for this. This is the coolest thing. Been looking for "secret" although not so secret remote areas to hike, camp and fish. Thank you for sharing this. it is greatly appreciated. I was hooked the whole time.
Thanks for the kind words. These videos are as much about the journey and exploring new areas as they are about fishing, but I like catching fish. I have no idea what I’m going to find when I get up there. I started making these videos for a fishing buddy who was going through a tough time physically, unable to join me even on the local rivers. I told him I was going to take him fishing up to some of these remote ponds and he laughed saying he could barely make it to his car. He didn’t know that my plan was to take him “virtually”. I surprised him with my first video. He told me that he felt like he was right there with me and kept asking when the next video would be published. He passed away two years ago. I enjoy making these videos and am glad you enjoy them as well.
Thanks! It is New Hampshire and sort of out of the way, even for the White Mountains. I should have filmed the bear tracks filling with water and coming in my direction on the way out, but it was raining and I had everything packed up. I could have titled the video, "My near bear encounter" with advice on making noice when hiking alone. Trust me - I started singing "Singing in the Rain" for the next 2 miles after see those fresh bear tracks.
Hello again, do you have a lot of trouble with poisonous plant life out on your journeys, Giant Hogweed and wild parsnip look harmless to me as we have very similar-looking plants here in the UK but they are completely harmless. Thanks for posting =)
No, not on my hikes. We do have poison ivy, but it likes to grow in areas that have been disturbed. You will find it on roadsides. It also grows as a vine.
@@RemoteFlyFishing I moved to RI from NH and dearly miss these places, your video inspires me for a trip back. Hopefully in September, I have had enough of mosquito and black fly bites.
Rain? Fishing in the rain isn't the issue. It's the filming, It's far better to have a clear view than one distored by rain drops on a lens.....makes for a better video. Also when fishing these remote ponds from shore you're primarily fishing dry flies, like hoppers, to avoid getting caught up in all the stuff underwater. So I'm targeting fish that are rising, which you wont's see when rain is hitting the water .....
Thanks Steve, this one is on my list for this summer.

Glad you enjoyed it. Have you seen the new Yellowstone vids I just posted.
Very good, Stephen!
Thank you
Sweet little video, I love all your videos and I hope to make it out to three ponds this year!
Thanks, I hope to get a few more published and clean up my backlog.
Thanks, I am editing two more videos of the Three Ponds area and hope to have one of them posted tomorrow!
Awesome vid! Deserves way more views

Check out Hall pond in September in the evening.... stalking shore risers.

Nice video. Are you familiar with the line pond area?
No, sorry. I found a description on "hookandbullet.com" that said there were no fish in Line Pond.
I walked in with my float tube six years ago in early September, time for a return trip.
I saw a UA-cam video of two guys in float tubes fishing Middle Pond catching nice looking brook trout. Sorry I don't have the link.

Looks like it might be worth the grunt to haul a float tube in here.
Yes, and it isn't a hard climb. If I were to go back I would definitely do that.
what do you use to flim?
GoPro Hero4, last year I added a Sony FDR-X3000 and I occasionally will fly a Mavic drone.
Wow. A little rain and you want to run for the shelter. I think you need to take up another sport. You seem more like a bowler or dart thrower.

@@RemoteFlyFishing Sorry. Didn’t consider the filming aspect. I wish I would have kept quiet.
