Some additional tips: when you are wrapping a dresser or large furniture piece, line up the bottom of ur pad to where you heel touches the edge of the pad and your toe touches the furniture (this usually leaves enough pad underneath for the legs).
Also for washers/dryers: place an empty tape roll around the control knob and shrink it before pad wrapping. This helps reduce the chance of the knob breaking, as it is usually made with cheap plastic.
Also each band color is a different size. Red bands are too long for a typical dresser and should be used for larger pieces (ex. Church pews, King size headboards)

Congratulations for your work, I found it very practical and inexpensive for not using packaging. I work with change in Brazil and now I will use this technique.

Great video. My furniture pieces are small, less than three feet wide and eighteen inches deep, three feet high. Would one standard moving blanket cover them? Would I need to use two green bands? How to protect legs on table? Thank you.

Yes, one pad should definitely be enough for furniture of that size. Just experiment with different orientations of the pad when you begin the process and try angling the corners of the pad in different ways if you’re running into challenges. The key is to maintain tension as you’re folding the pad, as keeping it tight as you move from one part of the furniture to another is the best way to protect the piece. These guys were using bands, my workplace uses packing tape, there’s many ways to be creative with the process.

Too much excess blanket. Could’ve been put in under on just about every item. And another one on top.

Your not covering the bottom of those items... this leads to scratching on the bottom of the furniture from dollies or moving around in the truck.

You usually put shrink wrap around it so the droors don’t fly out

And around the bottom base and top. So it helps moving it from upstairs to downstairs

@@espinozaiownedu well if its big items i would rather use shrink for the simple fact that its easier to grip it and manuever
