- When Joel Kramer, SourceFlix took us to Machpelah, in Hebron we went in both the Muslim and Jewish sides of the Cave of the Patriachs. Second to the Temple Mount, Machpelah is the most venerated holy place in Israel. Herod the Great built up three holy places In Judea, Mamre, Moriah (Temple Mount) and Machpelah. Abraham had purchased this cave not just for Sarah’s burial, but as a family burial site to be used for generations to come. Joel takes us through the archeological history and Biblical narrative of this incredibly ancient site.

It is hard to wrap my mind around the idea that the caves of the patriarchs are places people can identify and actually visit. It must have been an interesting process to determine. This makes me want to learn more. Much appreciated.
Yes! I loved that King David’s palace at Hebron overlooks the caves of the patriarchs! Israel is so small that the biblical historical sites are within relatively easy reach of each other. Five climate zones in a country the size of Wales! Joel is a great teacher, his channel is called Expedition Bible and is excellent! I was just a tour attendee and he gave me permission to upload the videos I filmed using my phone! You wouldn’t be allowed a film crew in many of the locations! 👍😊❤️

I love the information but this is the worst production quality of any of your videos that I've seen. The bouncing camera scenes should have been edited out. Compare this video to the HolyLandSite video of this site. That being said, I would gladly pay to go on one of your tours in Israel. I worked in a dig at Tel Akko and have some experience in archaeology and highly value your knowledge and expertise. Your book is my favorite on biblical archaeology.
Apologies, this isn’t Joel’s channel, I am just one of the tour attendees and I filmed just using my iPhone. I hadn’t done it before and I only had a one take opportunity to try and be in the right position! I was very grateful to be able to go on a tour with Joel and I thought others might like to see it too! Joel has given me permission to upload the videos and the channel isn’t monetised! Yes, Joel’s channel Expedition Bible is excellent! My channel has no production quality, just limited editing and uploading to UA-cam! 👍😊❤️

HOWEVER. THERE IS NOTHING REALLY CLEAR or easy to understand here. Even captions to try to understand, are sketchy and intermittent.
Apologies Bill I tried my best and had to edit the film, often I couldn’t get in the right place to film, maybe get Joel’s book? If you watch his channel Expedition Bible he is doing a fabulous job with filming and editing. 👍😊

@@Bill-xx2yh Bill no problem at all, the different videos are being seen by thousands of people across the world. Yes filming and editing quality is pretty poor 😂 but if people see that the locations and events mentioned in God’s Word are verifiable and can be seen today then maybe their faith will increase and lead to a closer walk with their God! 👍😊❤
