My first time watching your channel. You two are quite a pair! I have 4 VW's including a 71 Weekender, a 71 Ghia, 73 Super and a 74 Bug. I do all my own work and will enjoy your work on the single cab. It looks pretty good from here, as single cabs go. Usually they are all rust!
Wow, nice find, great shape! Doesn't look like any sketchy rust repairs so will be "easy" fix. There are 16mm+/- holes at the top of the A pillars behind the headliner. Dome light wire will be in the left side hole. Lamp is for hazard lights and flashes opposite the signal light in dash. Hazard switch is far right. Switch below lamp is the wipers. TheSamba has owner manuals in the technical section. You may have a reserve. It would be below the seat by the heater control knob. You could also look at the bottom of tank. 60mph is suggested top speed if the trans is stock. You will not want to go faster anyway :) 45-55 mph is a nice fun drive. Above they get less fun.
4 way indicator light and the 4 way switch is to the right of the steering wheel with the headlight switch. I would suggest not putting gauges in the fresh air box on the roof. If you drive in any rain the fresh air box fills with water. Just an FYI….

I always thought the R on the fuel gauge was “Refill”
Use oven cleaner and scrub to get the yellow off 👌works pretty quick
So the lamp and switch on the left of the Speedo is hazard warning lights - 4 way flashers
