2 things to keep in mind with the handbrake irl vs in beamng: 1. Your car can probably overpower your brake otherwise the engine would want to stall, if you are hard on the power clutch out and handbrake you are unlikely to get the result you want. (you also may have auto clutch on in beamng which would clutch for you when you brake) 2. Not all handbrakes lock the rear wheels some just give you a little braking. You may need to upgrade your parking brake to get a really good lockup Hope that helps and you had fun out there!
Yeah actually, there are cars that block just 1 wheel (in real life). I pulled the hand brake in my opel astra 2020 while rolling in grass, there was just one tire mark. However i still managed to slide the car. Cluch kick and counter steer helped me to make a goofy fwd drift (while i was sliding).
hell yeah!! always press the clutch when pushing the handbrake, since the engine is making the cardan shaft spin (sending power to the back wheels) and the handbrake suddenly stops it, making it literally twist. If you do it too many or when putting a lot of power into it, it will eventually break.

That’s awesome, I just started driving manual IRL in my partners car and watching you play had actually helped in some ways with seeing how you use your feet in other videos
Handbrakes in games are fairly binary, functioning a lot more like a hydraulic handbrake with calipers specifically dedicated to it. Irl using a standard cable handbrake you want to shock the rear brakes enough to lock it up without dragging and losing speed, its pretty difficult! Just have to rip it a lot harder and faster than you may be comfortable doing to someone else's machine :p
I've never drifted in real life but that's the way I've always felt as well. In games I always let off the gas the second I pull the handbrake and I YANK on that motherfucker like I'm trying to pull excalibur out of the stone. I've almost broken the stick I use before lol, but it feels natural so your description makes a lot of sense. I felt a little self conscious about being so aggressive until you said that.
10:56 in rwd car, pulling handbrake stops rear wheels...if you don't push the clutch, it will also stop the engine, thus when you handbrake without hitting clutch you're fighting to stop the engine too not just the tires..most video games/racing sims don't simulate this or generally automatically virtually hit the clutch for you... Put the handbrake on and try to start in first gear, you can't (unless the brake slips) as you engage the clutch, engine rpms will drop and eventually it stalls. Nothing changes that situation just because you're trying to go sideways in a corner. If your car is in gear and the clutch is engaged (engaged means foot off pedal) then your wheels are spinning if your engine is spinning, if you want to lock the rear wheels briefly for drifting then you need to break that connection by pressing the clutch (or being in neutral). Front wheel drive cars don't have this issue as the handbrake stops the rear wheels, so you can spin the front tires all day long with the handbrake on, but drifting fwd isn't really a thing (though it is possible). AWD cars are the same as RWD in this case, except depending on the rear and center differentials type and setup, even with the clutch disengaged, you may be trying to stop all 4 wheels, though with open rear diff abd/or viscous center, it's less likely, some AWD rally cars with electronically controlled differentials can disengage the center differential when the handbrake is pulled to essentially make the car fwd when it's pulled to help this. Also full drift cars will disengage or slip the clutch automatically when the handbrake is pulled, plus it's often pulled very briefly, enough so that even if the drivetrain was locked that rotational momentum would stop the engine from stalling. But most drifters don't use it except for maybe correction and this is partly why, not only are you stopping the wheels but you're applying and removing torque and managing engine rpms at the same time, basically trying to not do a clutch kick (unless that's also your intention) but still allowing the rear wheels to lock.. proper steering, weight transfer and the odd clutch kick should do everything anyone needs in most rwd cars for drifting other than tires, lsd/locked diff and maybe some extra steering angle if you want to really get sideways. Leave the handbrake for parking and fwd cars, or master the clutchwork needed to do it or modify the car to do it for you But yeah, that's why when you pull the handbrake you aren't drifting or locking the wheels, you're fighting the engine. Tap the clutch at the same time you quickly yank the handbrake and they will lock.
Love the video ahaha. I was interested because I used to do a bit of drifting in FH4 (I know it's acrade and not sim) with a steering wheel and that gave me a rough idea on the concept. One day, on a rainy day (irl), I sent my car too fast through a bend and began to drift. I managed to control it after going left right a few times. I genuinely think I wouldn't have been able to do it if I hadn't practised drifting in Forza.
9:44 is a widely recognized and culturally significant greeting in Poland, carrying a sense of camaraderie and connection. I encourage you to experience it firsthand, particularly when engaging in conversation with an individual of substantial physical stature who is attired in casual and comfortable clothing, such as sweatpants.
gotta yank the handbrake hard bro. if your yanking it and it isnt locking up, bleed the lines and if it has a reservoir for the handbrake, make sure to bleed that too.
This was fantastic! It seemed like you were running out of steering angle so you were spinning out! Try getting a wide angle kit! It would make a great install video too! Great job 👏
Final compilation was dope! Good job mate! Let us know how do you find BeamNG vs AssetoCorsa or other sims vs driftin in RL, which one feels like the closest thing. Thanks for the video
Czesc CarMighty jestem polakiem i nie spodziewalem sie ze widzialem youtubera na torze bo sam tam bylem na tych zawodach i sie ciekwawilem kto jedzie w tym niebieskim samochodem teraz juz wiem :)
I found that Assetto Corsa helped me much more with drifting than beamng. The FFB feels way closer to real life. BeamNG has helped me understand the suspension setup/alignment tho. Sad part is that you have to modify the jbeam if you really want to properly set up the suspension in beamng. Right now im also looking into changing the tire physics because it feels a little bit off in Beam.
@xxxod eh, so is Assetto Corsa and even arcade games. I get what you mean - BeamNG simulates the car as a sum of soft body components. But it's still an approximation of real world physics, just like AC. More complex, in depth simulation doesn't necessarily mean it's more accurate. There are more hyper parameters to tune so it's more difficult to make it behave like in real world. As for now, AC feels way closer to real life and I think AC2 has even more potential if done correctly.
I don't know about drifting cuz it is not my thing, but doing time trials is way more realistic in beamNg than assetto corsa. I've played both and BeamNg definitely surpases assetto corsa when it comes to physics. The details are insane, you can literally set your car up perfectly!
@@Beazoner I dont really agree. Racing also feels more realistic to me in AC. Trailbraking feels very similar to real life and in BeamNG it feels very bad. You can do it but the more grip the tires have the worse it feels. Thats why I want to change the tire physics in beam a little. I feel like the transition from grip to sliding is too abrupt. Its possible to change that curve in the files for the tire.
It is really mindblowing that today it is possible to learn how to drift (or almost learn) in a comfortable atmosphere without danger of damaging yours or anyone's car!
I actually started driving with wheel in my actual car, no drifts since its FWD (and I value my tires and life lol) but Im hoping a wheel for beamng will allow me to react to liftoff oversteer and the like without crashing 1991 Lancer GTI 16V, 1020kg, 140hp
careful as you don't really feel the g forces as you do in real life, I've almost wrecked my car doing it, It's best to practice in an empty area and chuck it left right and let off (skandinavian flick almost) and that'll get you used to the feeling then you can just turn and let off, I mean there isn't really and practical use for the skill but I understand the thrill of it
@@Fluffy_g3 the practical part is when you lose traction and it's just muscle memory to snap the wheel a bit and correct instead of freaking out slamming the breaks and turning the wheel all the way to one side, but yeah it's more so for that thrill factor

2 things to keep in mind with the handbrake irl vs in beamng:
1. Your car can probably overpower your brake otherwise the engine would want to stall, if you are hard on the power clutch out and handbrake you are unlikely to get the result you want. (you also may have auto clutch on in beamng which would clutch for you when you brake)
2. Not all handbrakes lock the rear wheels some just give you a little braking. You may need to upgrade your parking brake to get a really good lockup

I'll certainly be watching more of your content in the near future.
Also, amazing editorial work specifically on 18:50. That must have taken ages to have done that split second clip.
I love how this guy can do nearly infinite content with Beamng but when I play all I do is scream at the rocky start campaign and fail at drifting like im blind....and on the spectrum
19:39 such a sick transition! First time watching you but it's great content. Keep it up!
Fajnie wiedzieć że jesteś polakiem, a podejrzewałem od samego początku kanału xDD Pozdro dla Teamu Dori i Śliskiego Boza, dobrą robotę robicie wszyscy
identycznie miałem
No ja też@@MatiGamingeE13
ja se oglądam i oglądam sądze że to zagraniczny content a tu w 2:44 słysze że mówią po polsku
zajebisty montaż, szacun za to co robisz, nie wiedziałem że mogę się spodziewać takiej jakości w PL!
Pozdro zrdw
Nightride is amazing high quality as well.
pozdro zrdw
That’s awesome, I just started driving manual IRL in my partners car and watching you play had actually helped in some ways with seeing how you use your feet in other videos
the last few minutes of the video was awesome. the editing, the music, everything. offspring 4 life
was grinning ear to ear the entire time
that tandem at 19:03. magical, sent chills through my spine
This dog is fucked up bruh
I've never drifted in real life but that's the way I've always felt as well. In games I always let off the gas the second I pull the handbrake and I YANK on that motherfucker like I'm trying to pull excalibur out of the stone. I've almost broken the stick I use before lol, but it feels natural so your description makes a lot of sense. I felt a little self conscious about being so aggressive until you said that.
i didnt know ur channel but is the first video that i see, and i love it
17:10 Caught me off guard with that one lmao
These kind of videos never disappoint. Loved every second
As an amateur AC drifter, this was super inspiring!
0:52 is that Sam’s Miata from Nightride
17:18 you need to practice with your wife! lmao
This was fun to watch, it was fun to see Mighty progress so fast and finally learned how the car worked, lovely bastard
Leave the handbrake for parking and fwd cars, or master the clutchwork needed to do it or modify the car to do it for you
But yeah, that's why when you pull the handbrake you aren't drifting or locking the wheels, you're fighting the engine. Tap the clutch at the same time you quickly yank the handbrake and they will lock.
You were plenty fine without it anyway so just forget about it and keep your hands on the wheel ❤
Dude the End goes so hard! those edits and the shots, its one of the most exciting videos ive ever seen
I am at awe with this video. Amazing content, final edit was insane
9:44 is a widely recognized and culturally significant greeting in Poland, carrying a sense of camaraderie and connection. I encourage you to experience it firsthand, particularly when engaging in conversation with an individual of substantial physical stature who is attired in casual and comfortable clothing, such as sweatpants.
loved the whole vid, the edit at the end was so good too!
gotta yank the handbrake hard bro. if your yanking it and it isnt locking up, bleed the lines and if it has a reservoir for the handbrake, make sure to bleed that too.

Aż miło się patrzy, fajnie wiedzieć że niektórzy próbują przenieść osiągnięcia ze zwykłej gry do prawdziwego życia :-D
Dawaj wiecej filmikow irl tym bardziej z ekpia nightride
Great video, man! Really enjoyed
Bro Muslim will understand what happened in 5:20 😂😂💀
This was fantastic!
Thanks for the video
you have a wonderful way of making your audience feel involved!
"We're gonna take off the bumper now"
05:26 still having the bumper on
BRO THE EDIT AT THE END IS SICK!!!!!
Not the k swapped f16😂😂😂 0:54
Czesc CarMighty jestem polakiem i nie spodziewalem sie ze widzialem youtubera na torze bo sam tam bylem na tych zawodach i sie ciekwawilem kto jedzie w tym niebieskim samochodem teraz juz wiem :)
Kto?
I found that Assetto Corsa helped me much more with drifting than beamng. The FFB feels way closer to real life. BeamNG has helped me understand the suspension setup/alignment tho. Sad part is that you have to modify the jbeam if you really want to properly set up the suspension in beamng. Right now im also looking into changing the tire physics because it feels a little bit off in Beam.
yeah assetto is closer to IRL feeling
@@Beazoner Also the wheelhub seems to flex a lot. When you have a lot of grip and drive through corners wheels will change toe in extreme amounts
I never thought I'd last long enough in the video learning about drifting between IRL and in-game 😅😂
You did a good job in getting the hang of it ❤👍
It is really mindblowing that today it is possible to learn how to drift (or almost learn) in a comfortable atmosphere without danger of damaging yours or anyone's car!
And for a fraction of the cost of owning, running and maintaining a real car.
@@OOoOski not even a fraction if something would go wrong...
@@OOoOski Gaming pc $2k. Sim rig $2k. You can start drifting IRL for about the same money, the cost is about the same. Maintenance not included ofc.
In the end had great transitions set, was amazing!! Was a great idea!!
20:15 Silvia was smoking asf
9:28 He did not just play Erika💀
Oh hell naw bro gonna commit a war crime 😭
As a german I can confirm that this is Erika 9:23
I actually was 💀💀💀
I actually started driving with wheel in my actual car, no drifts since its FWD (and I value my tires and life lol) but Im hoping a wheel for beamng will allow me to react to liftoff oversteer and the like without crashing
1991 Lancer GTI 16V, 1020kg, 140hp
i totaled my car two weeks ago with that
@@guhz3395rip
careful as you don't really feel the g forces as you do in real life, I've almost wrecked my car doing it, It's best to practice in an empty area and chuck it left right and let off (skandinavian flick almost) and that'll get you used to the feeling then you can just turn and let off, I mean there isn't really and practical use for the skill but I understand the thrill of it
@@Fluffy_g3 the practical part is when you lose traction and it's just muscle memory to snap the wheel a bit and correct instead of freaking out slamming the breaks and turning the wheel all the way to one side, but yeah it's more so for that thrill factor
@@sirseven3 i crashed but proudly i didn’t panic at all, just understeered and made a mistake, lifted but didn’t brake, could’ve been worse. i mean, i am alive atleast
i dunno why but this made me feel emotional when you said its not a waist of time , and the ending of the video, excellent.
This video is a masterpiece of not only editing, but pure entertainment and style. Keep at it my friend!
Yoo stary, nie wiedziałem że jesteś polakiem. Ogólnie dobra robota i ćwicz dalej z lataniem bokiem💪
19:29 was my favorite part 😍
😏😏😏😏why
That ending montage is awesome! Amazing editing, banger music
