Very educational video. Pancake lenses have been the father or founder of this style of lenses. This could be the future of lens . People love simplicity and if they improve the quality it will be very profitable. Nice accent.

I have been researching a wide angle lens for it .....and there you are with the blooming answer..... hahaha.... very unexpected but yeah .... Thanks for this I will be purchasing the 9mm bit of a no brainier at about £90 .... 👍👍👍
Alright Robert. I get about mate :) That 9mm gets a lot of crap but I thought it was great. It was great on the Z-cam E1, I no longer have any of that setup as I couldn't stabilise it, although the E1 is a massively under rated MFT camera, as are those Olympus pancake lenses. Despite the issues with the GoPro8, it's just too convenient and portable, especially now I have my omni mod for the VideoMicro and also that last mic mod I did to the Media Mod. I've got a couple of videos going up later tonight you may find interesting. Cheers, Dave.
How come your photos with 9mm are not distorted with fish eye effect. Any special setting? Other reviewers are showing samples with this lens which are having the fish eye effect. I am interested to know if this lens can really take photos without fish eye effect also. Regards and kudos for the video.👍👍👍
Hi. Photos may show fisheye with the 8mm because most MFT cameras use the full sensor in photo mode. In video mode many cameras don’t use the full sensor, this would also mean not showing noticeable fisheye effect. In any event, I never noticed any barreling/fisheye with this lens on the E1. @@DavidHarry Do you know what crop factor the Z Cam E1 has? Knowing this would help compare to other mft cameras.
