@sallehasamad9543 That's understandable and companies should be naming companies in their own language for identity like newcomer Vinfast, Kia, Hyundai, Honda, Toyota these are all care companies named in their own language but man, Yangwang really is just something else. At least their affordable brand BYD is great.
Hopefully we can have this in the US someday without insane tariffs. The suspension is next level, it can literally jump and turn itself completely around from a near standstill. Insane piece of engineering, I can see why Elon was nervous after visiting BYD.
Nothing unfortunate about it. It's Chinese company, do you expect them to give it a French or Italian name. The name has meaning in their language. Thank you for this comment. I was so shocked by how childish and ignorant all the comments were. I think we're atva very interesting turn in car technology. Well like it or not, English is an international language and the most widely spoken in the world. So naturally, brands must tailor their names to the language, regardless of the country of origin for the brand. Especially if they’re to market them outside of their domestic turf.
Fun fact: Branding and naming actually matters. Most people aren't going to care about what it translates too. If your car's name has "wang" in the name, it's going to get universally made fun of by any country where the majority speaks English. That's why companies choose different names for different regions. It's called "localization."
