Generally I didn't like the current CBTC braking profiles. As a person who has rode the MRT since young, I felt that the trains stops faster on the older system. I rode from Tampines to Bugis and the only station which braked the fastest was at Kallang. (to put this in perspective, it takes on average half a minute to brake on the older system. On the newer one, the longest it took for me was like a minute-plus) Hopefully they improve the profile during this period. BTW, 8:48

There is a thing called one-step braking, here is a example of it: ua-cam.com/video/68QCjiR9AuI/v-deo.html
The newer ones have been upgraded to what is known as 1step braking, so the train will not coast when stopping at a stn
Used to be only C151Bs operating on the Tuas West Extension before the CBTC trial. Now got more variety of trains coming on the extension.
nah, before that ald got other trains just that c151b restricted to go to the other side last time
c151b restricted cause only TWE have thales cbtc that time
SMB8027G Most C151Bs is stationed at Tuas Depot wat...
+RandomDude ya but other trains are also there
You do realise this train ends at Gul Circle right

What does PMSM, stand for
SMB 226B permenant magnet synchronous motor
When was this video taken?
Before you commented
But TWE reconnected to mainline as of 27th May 2018
And?
All trains can do full line from Pasir Ris to Tuas Link again and no longer need to have Gul Circle to Tuas Link shuttle anymore
Why are you giving me all this info I'm not dumb k I merely wanted to give you the answer to your question 🤔😠😕
Why the mrt's voice like motor, is the mrt broken or something???
This one one of the few trains retrofitted with a new PMSM motor and hence sounds different
Strong Deceleration and acceleration
Average people : takes 3-10 stations far
Me : Bedok to Jurong east
I prefer to take long bus rides instead of trains
sounds way too soft... is 35% softer that much?
at the first part
2:27 to 3:22?
