  • Some of the most interesting rock formations we have ever spotted are here - in the Gold Butte National Monument. An old ghost town - next door to Lake Mead, Nevada. In this week's off-roading adventure - you'll see WHY. On a piece of BLM land, (in the #backcountry) wedged amid Lake Mead and the Grand Canyon National Park - and it's insanely incredible!! We're so happy to have discovered this gem - so we can share it with you on this road trip.
: Welcome to our channel @offroad801. We'll be exploring in the Jeep Wrangler and traveling some rough and bumpy roads in the Mojave desert. There is free camping availability here also. We're going to be stopping at 4 key points - first will be the Whitney Pocket, Gold Butte Townsite, Devils Throat and Little Finland. We'll visit some old mines which are gated off for your protection and all just fascinating!! To say the least... :) And all a fragile ecosystem - where life or death is one decision away.
Stay tuned to witness some of the most beautiful country you'll ever see. One of the best yet !! And we saved the best for last. I can't forget to tell you how outstanding the drone footage is too!!

WOW 👌 so very interesting and the history you gave us fantastic! I absolutely love Little Finland! The shapes of all the red rocks was fascinating 😮 I seen so many different faces and animals. Thanks for a beautiful amazing ride-a-long. I really like the new music 🎶

I’ve been searching for videos about gold butte for a few months now. Not sure why I never came across this one but glad I finally did. This video has been the most descriptive and informative of all the ones I’ve watched. I hope to get my ATV out there this spring to explore. Thank you.

What a great excursion. So many cool things out there. Another road to put on the list to do. Sand Worm! Every turn revealed even cooler sights.

I bet a lot of flat tires on this road. It's terrible! But sure is interesting. Never could find the burros

Such an extraordinary place Curtis 👌. Shame those roads are impassable to most cars, and so few signposts to help people get to a national monument.
Shame Clyde didn’t improve those roads for Bob instead of building pyramids for him.
Those sand worms may have burrowed below ground, so the sand could be aerated for the trees to grow… and I’m sure sand worm 💩is a great fertiliser too! 👍

Wow it was more than I expected.👀 A hidden gem for sure. I tend to think they leave the roads crappy, because they really don't want people out there.🤔 Mabey Clyde saw the sandworm and thought the aliens could help him get rid of the sandworms.😀

@@offroad801 😆… yes, Bobbie & Clyde didn’t want anyone getting in on their pyramid scheme 😉
