Important note for those who still can’t get the vocoded bass right. This might be the issue! I love this so much, finally been able to make the sound (bass) I desire! At first I was really surprised by the sound of the vocoded bass, sounded to me more like a resonator which I use and when I used a vocoder it wasn’t this bright sharp sound like here or that I would get from the resonator. The catch is the thing that’s not actually shown in the video and that is to turn down the mix level of the vocoder (vocodex in this case). It works the best around 50% for me but if you have different volumes of the bass (mod) or the sawstack (carrier) adjust it where it sounds the best. Thanks for this vid, amazing work! 💗

or you could invest in Pitchmap and all you have to do is put on the bass and then post processing ( although I did get it when it was 3 times cheaper ). Make a seperate sub tho. It kinda drowns out the punch of it

Is there a specific way you have to route the bass/vocodex/carrier into a sidechain channel in the mixer? I may have messed mine up, and got no sidechain at all. I'm very new to FL, so O don't have a very great understanding of routing and how the mixer works as much.
Drum video next pls? I thought the drums you made here sounded pretty good, but hearing you say they weren't the best makes me wonder what you would do to make them sound better. Was it the rhythm, sample selection, or mix of them?
Yo this sounds great! I think the sub is too low though, you can see on the EQ that it's going below the sub frequencies. Maybe try playing around with octaves would solve that. But that sounded like bliss, great stuff!
Hey syco! I cant seem to get that tin like sound like in yours! when I put the mod to 2 and the synth to 1 all I can hear is my bass, not the carrier synth, everything is routed properly and I've even tried changing the synth (sytrus to serum) please help!
Ooooh u are probably doing the opposite way and making the carrier the mod and the bass the carrier. The numbers that are on vocodex represent the order the mixer tracks are ordered. Hope this helps!
Pls use Fruity Balance instead of a fader. In fact, you don't even need to route it to a sidechain bus. Just use one instance of Fruity Balance in Slot 10 of everything you want sidechained. Create automation clip for just one of them and just route (link controller) each Fruity Balance to that one automation.

for the convolution reverb part, you can just modulate the stretch knob to the left so that it doesn't sound delayed...
That changes the pitch as well so I don’t recommend doing that.

Make sure the bass and the carrier are sidechained with NO route audio. That might be the issue. Sry I’m late on this

Im saying this because FLs faders having strong clicking from smoothing. That might affect your drum transients.
