I love that phone. I own two :) Love the OS , the fluidity and the simplicity of Meego Harmatan. Love the shape of the phone...the way it sits in your hands. It is impecable.
Lite usage? This phone could open desktop pages running Java. This phone didnt use sum silly phone websites. IT was more open then android. IT was the last phone made by nokia. Meego was ahead of its time, it was fast and you could basically do anything with it. The shitty part was that after nokia got elop he ditched the whole meego before it was even on sale. The pricepoint was abit too high and the phone was never advertized. The reviews it got were good. They never publiched the amounts sold.
Nokia SHOULD reborns the N9. Nokia 9 hasnt been announced yet. I really hope they bring back fabula design (this N9’s design) with the Nokia 9. It’s ok for having Android in it, because what else to be used?. But i think since Android is highly custom, they can implement Swipe UI on that (especially with bezel-less design, this UX will be definitly neat!)

Christopher Samarita you'll regret it, i know it looks amazing but the os compared to andriod is garbage, years ago i saw the nokia e7 and fell in love with the design at the time i had galaxy s2, as soon i got the e7 i regretted it, the design is cool and all but the os is trash, slow, no apps.
i remember a nokia rep showing me this, it was so far ahead of its time and such and i was looking forward to getting it when it launched un ireland but nokia pulled it. was disappointed, they had a winner. such a pity they went Microsoft..

2 things to correct here, 1. there is a workaround for the maps problem, where you add a line or two to a config file and you don't need any nokia account, 2nd if you set camerapictures aspect ratio to 4:3 instead of 16:9 you have 8MP, voila :)
its worth is for nostalgia reason the phone was almost understandable and hardware was ahead of its time. mine finally met its demise after falling from 2nd story building (it worked) till it fell in water the Lumia version was an insult and lets all forget it ever happened

In 2009 after I left BlackBerry, they launched the N900 (which I had) and with that had tremendous community development support (Maemo) and Nokia, instead of helping develop this device dropped it and decided to go with Intel and Meego... Fast forward a short time later and CEO's are getting canned and instead of going with Android to continue the Nokia name, Microsoft ends up swallowing up Nokia with those failing Windows phones and the rest is history.... Until this year. They're back. Basically Foxconn bought them and they just released a phone. I'm glad for them but they could've been sooo much more.

But sticking to Windows Phone is what ruined it all, Windows Phone 7 and 8 were garbage, it was no where near the functionality of Android and it took Microsoft until Windows 10 Mobile to finally make something that could compete by then it was too late yet Nokia had MeeGo and a lot of other unique and well designed smartphone operating systems that were WAY better than Windows Phone not to mention that Nokia had quite the sizeable app library at the time, if they made their older apps usable in MeeGo, imagine. Nowadays its all Android though, unless Nokia grows a brain again and tries to relaunch MeeGo, there may never be something that can topple Android, ever again.
FYI, facebook has deprecated it's 3rd party API, so Facebook no longer works on Windows Phone 7.x/8.x, Blackberry 5/6/7 & 10, and MeeGo. however, Windows 10 mobile get it's official Facebook app
