AUTISM (ASD) is very sensitive issue yet very important but rarely spoken (hesitant to speak) topic in our Country. Therefore majority of Nepal are unaware of Autism.
Autism is the fastest growing developmental disability in the world. Raising awareness helps people understand and not be frightened by the disability.
There is a great need of Public awareness of autism spectrum disorder in NEPAL to improve autistic children’s education, to prevent delays in their early interventions and also to minimise possible associated social stigma.
Thank you so much Dr Kantipur team and Dr Sunita Maleku for presenting this episode. This will definitely help to aware and educated our socitely to some extend about Autism and Autism Spectrum Disorders.
AUTISM should be talked more often in the Nepalese media to create better acceptance in the society.

Honestly even living in an advanced nation for so many years I never knew about ASD until that day when a doctor diagnosed my daughter being in the spectrum. Now, four years later, I feel like I have mastered in Autism Spectrum Disorder. Even here, Autism is so stigmatized in the society so Education, awareness, consciousness, cognizance play a vital role to actually deal with the situation in the first place. Equally government should bring program to help an autistic child be independent in life, help their parents who spend most of their time taking care of the child with autism. Here in USA, there’s so many facilities so effectively and efficient, mostly govt funded.
With right method of treatment involving therapies, socialization, recognizing her strengths and weaknesses and tackling with it appropriately, etc she’s now almost normal. Her activities are like just a normal kid. I thank government, hospitals and those hardworking therapists siting my house everyday. ❤️❤️

      Maya ji namaste..,🙏🏻
Sounds like you get very good facilities There compared to BELAYAT. I have autistic 9 year old son and the only facility we get here is special need school after diagnosis. Glad to hear that your daughter is doing great. Wishing her for great future ahead.
