Most go the cheap 100$ or less with a single cam when what they really need is a multi camera system, which is what Falcon Eye offers. They all record so its wise to use one on the dash and the two with one on each mirror and the third is placed anywhere so long as you have long enough power cord.
hmmm mount the 3rd camera on the back of the cab to aid in hooking up trailer and for looking at rear tires? for backing up, too bad you couldn't set the drone to hover over your truck and the spot your backing into and have that display on the screen.
Looks like a good system. I'm not a semi driver so I'm not sure exactly how this would work but for your rear camera, if it has a standard 1/4" bolt mount, you can get a clamp mount (search amazon for camera clamp mount) and maybe clamp it to the pipe looking thing that latches the doors. If you don't want to mess with the battery all the time you could power it from your cab and leave enough loose wire to toss on top of the trailer and run back to the camera. Might need a spring of some sort to keep a little tension on it so it doesn't blow off the edge as you drive. I don't know if any of that would actually work, just thinking out loud.
I spent 700$ and I have 4 cameras. I've had nothing but problems with connectivity since day one. So now falconeye is saying to run the power directly to the batterys. When they are actually working, they are fine. I hope to get them working 24/7. They have definitely not lived up to their potential.
I got a Joinlgo 4 cam system and installed it on my Crown Vic. You'd be amazed, 360 I can parallel park that sucker without looking up.

Sometimes when I'm alone, I pretend I'm an iguana playing hop scotch,

I am thinking buying this instead of mirror extensions for hauling wide loads
What if someone walks up and steals the camera while your sleeping?

But unlike the mirrors, it has a wider range of view, it also record-able footage for in case someone gets into an accident with you.
