    My friend Steve Dobson showed me this trick years ago. He was a big underground card guy that had performed at the castle many years ago when Dai Vernon was still alive. His mentor was Jerry Andrus before he passed away. Steve is still alive but he's got MS which really bums him out because he can't use his hands much anymore and doesn't really pick up a deck of cards anymore either. He's a good guy. Anyhow amazing trick man. Sorry it just drummed up a flood of memories.....lol. 👍

    It takes intense practice to do it as nice as this lol. 6 years without a girlfriend comes to mind 😂 I love these breakdowns man! That's definitely worth a like, share and a subscribe!

    I knew the technique (sort of Braue Add-on) but YOU (the flourishes, the way you feel the magic, ...) feed the technique and enhance the effect.
    It's really satisfying to watch not to mention your video skills!

    clever way to hide the random cards by keeping the aces in the "busy hand" as you show them one last time :)
    that's one of the reasons I tried to learn the cherry control: you can steal the four aces and do a bunch of false cuts while doing your best Broadway act of magical gesture to get them back on the top ^^
    I have an other way to "lost" the aces and it's a really clever control, but a bit angle sensitive... anyways, I just jam with cards to kill time so it doesn't matter too much ^^

    • @dartfield4655
      @dartfield4655 Рік тому

      My post is rather pointless without the control :ua-cam.com/video/_b6bI4Nc1nY/v-deo.html (you may already know it, but we never know ^^)
      a bit messy to control only one card, but for 2, 3 or 4 cards it's way more interesting, in my humble opinion ^^

      Use 3 indifferent cards instead of 4, then put the '4 aces' to the bottom, showing the aces on the bottom. This sets up one ace on bottom and 3 on top. Indulge your sociopathy with that setup.

  • @him050

    I found this to be more convincing by doing a false cut or two before the reveal. Without the cuts people just instantly assumed the trick was done by having 8 cards at the top

  •  Рік тому

    Q: With every deck I've practiced with (bicycles, I think) the cards are super smooth. Is there anything I can do to increase my traction with the cards so I can look as cool as Jason? (Not AS cool, that would be absurd, but you know, not like I'm fumbling?)
