As someone who works at a casino and deals poker, being offed by an old lady is a legitimate fear i have lol. However this would not work in that setting. Way too many rules one has to follow for the shuffle and the dealer doesn’t actually get a hand. I just deal the cards.
Congrats on 1M!! I've watched your channel evolve since before you hit 100k and I'm excited to see where you go on the next million. Thanks for everything you've done for me and the magic community.
Great stuff... As a German, I allways struggle with the nomenclature of the fingers in those books... forefinger, first finger... and sometimes it's like reading Shakespeare in Elizabethan... or in the Klingon original...
If it makes you feel any better, i'm a native speaker of English and i find it super easy to bounce off of magic books. When they start in on first phalanx of the second finger and the third phalanx of the first finger i get lost.
The UA-cam algorithm loves your Puzzle videos. Me and a lot of friends have never looked up magic or puzzle videos yet we all got recommended the puzzle videos. Cheers to 1 million. Excited to see the content you will have in the future.
I'm really late to the party. But Chris your videos have really had an impact on me. You're why I started magic. Why I started collecting cards. I as many decks of your playing cards as I could afford, even though it was only two, because I wanted to support you. This video is a great example of why I love your channel. You are still learning things, you interact with the community as the comment section shows, and you actually care about putting out quality content. I know you're not going to read this, but just saying it makes me happy. Thank you Chris Ramsay.
I've been waiting for my all time favorite cardist and magician to put up one of these. I'm using to for a LARP character, and all your videos have been teaching me skills and tricks for them.
Dude you've been working so hard and you have inspired me to start card magic and coin magic. You are such an inspiration to everyone who supports you and I'm only excited to see what the future holds for you! 2M is right around the corner xD fenolftaleina!
Im so happy that you got to 1 Million Subs brother. Its exciting to see how fast your channel has grown. Keep it up man. Now lets hit "2 MILLION" #RAMFAM2018 #RAMFAM4LIFE 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Really love your videos. Your three card Monte got me into magic once again and have been watching your content ever since. Keep doing what you do and thanks for your help in my magic life. Thanks!
happy 1 mil. Honestly you got me into cards and im greatful. But ironically i was actually attracted to your channel by your puzzle videos rather than your card ones
Congrats on the 1 Million man!! I joined the #RamFam back in the days when you'd just released the Epidural tutorial, we didn't even have a name yet :D It's been so amazing following you, really glad we made it all the way here!!
Congratz on the 1 mil, found the channel around a month or so ago and been attempting to learn some of the basics. Definitely gonna give this one a try, maybe by the time the next video on this comes out I might have it down to some useable level. Keep up the great content!
I had been following you since before you were 30k. It is an honor to be part of the journey and see your progression in every step of the way. Congratulations.
Yo, Chris. Not sure if you remember me from one of your first streams, but thank you for making your puzzle vids. I got the Quartet puzzle from hanayama almost a year ago, and I gave up cause I didn't realize it was a level 6/6.... lol. But since you made those videos, I've decided to start back up on it, and I did. Yesterday on the 12th of June, I bought another one of the cast-iron puzzles named "Padlock," which is level 5/6, and I solved it well within 4 hours. And now I can solve it within minutes. So, thank you for making those puzzle vids, cause if you didn't make them, I wouldn't have gone back to them. You're inspirational, dude!! Keep it up! And 1M subs! Let's keep the RamFam growing!
Congrats on 1mil!!! You deserve it all and more. I'm proud to be a part of the #RamFam. I only wish I found you sooner! Your videos have been helping me out through a really stressful time in my life. Thank you
Ive been watching u for quite a while now. The reason i started was beacuse i wanna learn how to shuffle cards. But ur charisma made me stay. Ive pickd up so much from ur channel, from magic tricks to flourishes. Thank you Chris for being such a humble guy for the community.
Honestly you could just do 1. Injog the top card while taking the bottom half of the deck 2. Run the number of player minus one 3. Outjog the next card, shuffle off 4. Take the cards from below the outjog while maintaining a break from the injog 5. Throw everything from above the break 6. Run the number of player 7. Injog the next card, shuffle off 6. Cut the card from below the injog 8. Deal Great video btw Chris. I really enjoy it.
Awesome video as usual dude, keep up he amazing work and keep doing what you love! CONGRATS ON 1 MIL, YOU REALLY DO DESERVE BECAUSE YOU’VE PUT IN SO MUCH EFFORT. #RAMFAM
Hey Chris! I've been subscribed to you for more than a year now and I just wanted to congratulate you on 1 million subs!!! I love how you've stayed humble and funny sinc then and included even more awesome content on your channel :) Keep up the good work!
You could just do 3 players times 2 -2 is 4, so is 3+1 4 times 2 - 2 is 6 so is 4+2, so just use 3+1= 4 4+2=6 5+3=8 6+4=10 7+5=12 8+6=14 9+7=16 I hope you can see the pattern. player (p) times (*) 2 -2 = p+(p-2= a.k.a u add 9 to 9-2 which is 7 so 9 + 7. goes on forever, you could be playing a poker game with 137 ppl, just 137 + 135 = 272 I still hope you see the pattern. Thanks for the video Chris, and thanks to whoever reads this (if you understood, good. I like making things clear, and probably too clear, if I sound condescending (damn me why tf am I doing this) I don't mean it. good morning! (or) good night! (or) good evening! whatever bye) I added too much to this comment, didn't I. Shi--
i know you stopped your tutorial vids a while back, but i find this just as good, if not better. it kind of gives us a feeling of learning it together with you. you should make more like this! :) also, any update of when we will get the link for vid for the 1st playing card orders? (got myself a brick and love 'em)
That moment you’ve been watching a UA-camr for about 4 months and you realize you haven’t subbed yet... Just did so yay! Great channel and can’t wait to see all the amazing content you will continue to produce!
Chris, congratulations on hitting 1-million subscribers, you've reached the elite level that you deserve; all without giving up your standards, ie, refraining from continuing teaching/tutorials. Sincerely Congrats
Very cool for a first pass. A few tips on stock shuffles: Practice over hand shuffling without the stock. simply in-jogs and out-jogs until the cards lye clean when shuffled allowing the in jogs and out-jogs to be much finer. Rhythm, Erdnase makes this a very important point. Your speed is no concern but your rhythm should be. Prioritise the consistency of rhythm without the desire to increase speed. Speed does not make the stocking any better when learning. when you "Under-cut to out-jog, forming break at in-jog" push the out-jog and in-jog up rather than in. They will both fall in and allow a cleaner break without pushing them into the deck which can often help lose the positioning required. In addition use the centre of the thumb and second finger to push the cards upwards leaving the fleshy part of the fingers to hold the break. Keep it up man. Expert has some fantastic work and brilliant mathematical principles. Also, the introduction is gold. B.
Congrats on 1M! I am a magician, puzzler, and hold 'em player. The book is somewhat outdated; due to the jaded history of mechanic's grip overhand shuffling is either frowned upon or disallowed. After poker shuffling moved to riffle / cut with cards always facing down toward table, new moves had to be invented. See "poker cheating real hustle" for a modern demonstration. You also skipped over a key step - getting the Kings to the top of deck. There are various "pick up and stack" moves to facilitate this. Great channel, keep it coming!
I just wanted to let you know, that recently i went through a hard break up and alot of other life things, and i want to express my thanks to you Chris. For not only getting me through some dark times but also reigniting my passion for magic. I'm very happy about you subscriber total and wish you and the channel the best. Thank you for everything you do you're awsome!
exactly why this techqnique would not work in many settings, most jails make the person to the right cut it for you after the shuffle, its almost like doing a 100 cut in canasta
An important point to realize in the Erdnase stock shuffles is that the final "run the number of players" can be interpreted as running one card for each position. For example, if instead of running the number of players "5," you had run only one, the player to the dealer's left would receive the winning hand. Two cards would be position two etc. This makes it possible to set the deck to deliver a win on any position and hand the deck to someone else to deal, still winding up with the winning hand yourself.
Similarly, in the 5 card stock shuffle, the final note is to run three times the number of players. I think of it as "run twice the number of players and then add cards equal to the position receiving the winning hand."
I started cardistry with a tutorial for swing cut from you when you were only around half a million subs. I do only cardistry but I’ve loved your vids and have been subscribed since then.
Chris, seriously... I’m a teacher, and I can tell you, this video is so pedagogical!! I’ve struggled so long with this book, and you make it so clear and easy to understand. I hope you do more of this! Congrats 🎊 for the 1k subs!
Congratulations again!!!! You DESERVED it. From one of my favourite magic channels, you are today my favourite channel. From your 150K days (when I subscribed) you are today at 1M. Also...as a treat...PLEASE DO A CARDISTRY TUTORIALS!!!!!!!!
it didnt even started and i love it. I am super interested in card cheating. I love to see you practicing card cheating. I tought maybe Daniel Madison could show you some moves. But Daniel Madison right now is ... yea i would say disappeared. Hope he will come back soon. Many greetings from Germany
I'm so glad you did this because I got this book for Christmas and have been studying it but it was nice to see someone else try to accomplish this. Keep it up
Congratulations Chris for hitting 1M subs.I have been watching you since you were on 60K and whenever I searched for you an English comedian showed up. But not any more. Continue your passion for making these videos. Love you. #RamFam
hey i just wanted to let you know that your videos keep me going. although life is rough and can be a pain, your vids lift my spirits up. thank you for that
This is fantastic. Ive been trying to "master" Erdnase for about two years now. But its good to have someone to follow along as I progress. Thanks Chris, keep this going.
I'm so glad you did this video. You always see people trying to give tips on mastering Erdnase or trying to display their skill while teaching a small sleight, but I think demonstration videos like this are much more interesting. Good job on the 1mil homie.
Wow! One million subscribers. One million people who watch and appreciate your work! Actually you deserve so many more! You‘re doing awesome stuff right now and I can‘t wait for the things you‘ve planned for the future! Congratulations! You are awesome!
Hey congrats on getting to the millions. You way of teaching cards really shines through other channels in my perspective. Also your vids have given me inspiration to do magic the right way. Anyways good luck to this channel going even bigger
Not gonna lie, I learned this an hour ago watching another amazing magician, spidey's channel. Your flourishes amaze me, and I love watching you solve puzzles. I'm also a puzzle enthusiast
One of the funnest ideas I've had. More?
Chris Ramsay how to make someone forget a card
Chris Ramsay yeeeeeeah boiiii
Chris Ramsay Do some Fortnite gameplay.
hiya! id love you to do more just street magic in general, and possibly challenge videos with/similar to mike boyd :D
Hail Storm interesting idea
You misspelled, "How to get killed by an old lady at the casino."
As someone who works at a casino and deals poker, being offed by an old lady is a legitimate fear i have lol. However this would not work in that setting. Way too many rules one has to follow for the shuffle and the dealer doesn’t actually get a hand. I just deal the cards.
Liam Hernberg I should have said, "beaten by your grandma at a home game."
LOL!!!
the casino would kill you, not a rando old lady
Plise watch my video how have a poker scale with magic ua-cam.com/video/CjL7X_abrqg/v-deo.html
As a poker player I will be freaking out if I saw anyone dealing this way.
Its not that uncommon to shuffle this style doesnt mean they are cheating but be alert
You'd be freaking out if you saw an overhand shuffle? Are you sure you play poker lmao
I play and deal poker for a living - he’s correct, it would never fly for someone to be overhand shuffling nowadays
@@rehberg. I think there is a difference between pro poker and literally all other types of poker but ok
Yes please, Chris! I think it’s awesome when you just sit down and have a conversation with us while learning something.
Congrats on 1M!! I've watched your channel evolve since before you hit 100k and I'm excited to see where you go on the next million. Thanks for everything you've done for me and the magic community.
Mike postle - hold my beer.
Jim Klein - literally was gonna make this same exact comment hahahahahha
Was gonna say this. Lmao
Great stuff... As a German, I allways struggle with the nomenclature of the fingers in those books... forefinger, first finger... and sometimes it's like reading Shakespeare in Elizabethan... or in the Klingon original...

Right... I totally forgot about those phalanxes

"January 2019 was the goal." Bro its April 2019 and you got 2.6 million! That's crazy
oh.... i´m to late xD wrote the same a few seconds ago xD

This is why cutting the deck is standard procedure. At the games I play, nothing is delt without someone other than the dealer cutting.
Karl Robinson that’s why mechanics usually have a confederate.
Dude you've been working so hard and you have inspired me to start card magic and coin magic. You are such an inspiration to everyone who supports you and I'm only excited to see what the future holds for you! 2M is right around the corner xD fenolftaleina!

Congratz on the 1 mil, found the channel around a month or so ago and been attempting to learn some of the basics. Definitely gonna give this one a try, maybe by the time the next video on this comes out I might have it down to some useable level. Keep up the great content!
Congrats Chris! I subscribed to you when you had 700,000 subscribers! I love your channel!
To read the details and view the illustrations is one thing, but to see someone perform it is a whole other, incredibly satisfying thing. Thank you.
This is a sick video! More content like this!!
I had been following you since before you were 30k. It is an honor to be part of the journey and see your progression in every step of the way. Congratulations.
Who else is here again and looking back to 1 mil chris?🙇♀️

did you ever release your 2nd video of this? :D
Ive been watching u for quite a while now. The reason i started was beacuse i wanna learn how to shuffle cards. But ur charisma made me stay. Ive pickd up so much from ur channel, from magic tricks to flourishes. Thank you Chris for being such a humble guy for the community.
CONGRATS MY DEAR AMIGOS YOU DESERVED IT CROTTE!!!
Honestly you could just do
1. Injog the top card while taking the bottom half of the deck
2. Run the number of player minus one
3. Outjog the next card, shuffle off
4. Take the cards from below the outjog while maintaining a break from the injog
5. Throw everything from above the break
6. Run the number of player
7. Injog the next card, shuffle off
6. Cut the card from below the injog
8. Deal
Great video btw Chris. I really enjoy it.
Awesome video as usual dude, keep up he amazing work and keep doing what you love! CONGRATS ON 1 MIL, YOU REALLY DO DESERVE BECAUSE YOU’VE PUT IN SO MUCH EFFORT. #RAMFAM
Videos like this make me pleased I didn't unsubscribe when you ditched the tutorials. Great stuff.
I'm here for puzzles and the beard and the ocassional montrealais accent
Catherine Derbala MY ACCENT ???
Jemcee dans les commentaires de chris ramsey 😂😂
Jemcee sur Dailymotion if the shoe fits lol the accent reminds me of home (and Tim Hortons which I miss dearly)
The way his shirt fits is the most puzzling feature of this video. Well played.
anyone know when the video starts? 4 minutes in and he hasn't explained shit. Gonna ask around and see.
Hey Chris! I've been subscribed to you for more than a year now and I just wanted to congratulate you on 1 million subs!!! I love how you've stayed humble and funny sinc then and included even more awesome content on your channel :) Keep up the good work!
You could just do 3 players times 2 -2 is 4, so is 3+1 4 times 2 - 2 is 6 so is 4+2, so just use 3+1= 4 4+2=6 5+3=8 6+4=10 7+5=12 8+6=14 9+7=16
I hope you can see the pattern. player (p) times (*) 2 -2 = p+(p-2= a.k.a u add 9 to 9-2 which is 7 so 9 + 7. goes on forever, you could be playing a poker game with 137 ppl, just 137 + 135 = 272
I still hope you see the pattern.
Thanks for the video Chris, and thanks to whoever reads this (if you understood, good. I like making things clear, and probably too clear, if I sound condescending (damn me why tf am I doing this) I don't mean it. good morning! (or) good night! (or) good evening! whatever bye)
I added too much to this comment, didn't I. Shi--
Ayy! Congrats on 1,000,000! Here's to another million!
Omgggggggggggg 1 milllllllioonnnnnnnn I’ve been here since you had a moustache 😂😂😂😂
Tom Gffg He still has a moustache
CONGRATS ON 1M CHRIS. IV BEEN SUBSCRIBED SINCE ABOUT 300 OR 200K AND ITS BEEN SUCH A JOURNEY, CONGRATS AGAIN!
This is really helpful. Thank you so much. You should definitely do more poker cheating tutorials.
Shit excalated quickly huh? It feels like yesterday that you have 400k and now you're there. Totally deserve it, totally worth it. Love you Ram
Thank you so much for this! Proves that muscle memory and practice is really crucial to learning!
I haven’t been subscribed for long only about a month but you definitely deserve a million
i know you stopped your tutorial vids a while back, but i find this just as good, if not better. it kind of gives us a feeling of learning it together with you. you should make more like this!
The thing is, you wouldn’t really be able to use this technique because you’re supposed to let the player to the right of the dealer cut the deck.
congratulations on hitting 1 million man i've been here before 300k man this channel grows so fast hope it continues
I hate television, my substitution for tv is easy....Chris ramsey
Chris, congratulations on hitting 1-million subscribers, you've reached the elite level that you deserve; all without giving up your standards, ie, refraining from continuing teaching/tutorials. Sincerely Congrats
"I expected 1 million subs in January 2019 as a goal", actually 2.5 M, just saying...you deserve more, congrats bro!!!
This was awesome! It was great to see someone else get excited when they're learning new stuff as it starts coming together.
Following you since you have 50k subs😍 thanks a lot for what you do, it influence me so much as a magician😌
All the best and keep up🙏🏼👏
Very cool for a first pass.
A few tips on stock shuffles:
Practice over hand shuffling without the stock. simply in-jogs and out-jogs until the cards lye clean when shuffled allowing the in jogs and out-jogs to be much finer.
Keep it up man. Expert has some fantastic work and brilliant mathematical principles. Also, the introduction is gold.
B.
Chris do you know any slight of hand tricks with dice ?
Congrats on 1M! I am a magician, puzzler, and hold 'em player. The book is somewhat outdated; due to the jaded history of mechanic's grip overhand shuffling is either frowned upon or disallowed. After poker shuffling moved to riffle / cut with cards always facing down toward table, new moves had to be invented. See "poker cheating real hustle" for a modern demonstration. You also skipped over a key step - getting the Kings to the top of deck. There are various "pick up and stack" moves to facilitate this. Great channel, keep it coming!
U get the golden play button🤭😮😮😮
I just wanted to let you know, that recently i went through a hard break up and alot of other life things, and i want to express my thanks to you Chris. For not only getting me through some dark times but also reigniting my passion for magic. I'm very happy about you subscriber total and wish you and the channel the best. Thank you for everything you do you're awsome!
Don’t make it about you.
The real trick would be if you could find a dealer in Vegas who actually deals that way. Now that would be magic!
At first, I thought you were lying because of the cut at 8:42...
But you are just amazing!
In my country at least, the custom is to let other player cut the deck after you finish shuffling it.
Yeah we do that in my home games in the US too
And then you can simply shift the cut
exactly why this techqnique would not work in many settings, most jails make the person to the right cut it for you after the shuffle, its almost like doing a 100 cut in canasta
I remember being here back around 30k, and your videos were quality back then too! Hard work pays off, congrats dude!
1000000 GOOD LUCK #RAMFAM lots of love from South Africa
Gerhard Becker
Eyyyyyy!
Another South African, that’s rare to find here. 😄
My big problem with such techniques is how to get the two cards secretly on top
Can easily be done when collecting cards

Would of been funny if you dealt aces to another player 🤣
Congrats on hitting 1 Mil subs!!! I really enjoyed this video and I think you should make more vids like this! #RamFam forever
Hahaha, except, in all texas holdem game's at non casino events, the person to the right of the dealer cuts the deck again.
Sorry!
haha.
anyone know when the video starts? 4 minutes in and he hasn't explained shit. Gonna ask around and see.
I'm so glad you did this because I got this book for Christmas and have been studying it but it was nice to see someone else try to accomplish this. Keep it up

Congratulations Chris for hitting 1M subs.I have been watching you since you were on 60K and whenever I searched for you an English comedian showed up.

Love the video!! This was the first book I purchased after watching an older video of yours covering beginners literature. Keep up the great work!
I'm so glad you did this video. You always see people trying to give tips on mastering Erdnase or trying to display their skill while teaching a small sleight, but I think demonstration videos like this are much more interesting. Good job on the 1mil homie.
So excited to get my uncut sheet! I have nowhere to display it yet but soon hopefully!
I don't know why it is so satisfying when you see selected cards coming... Magical!
Congrats Chris keep up the good work!!! RAMFAM growing fast!!! ❤️
When I subscribed, you were at 650k subs, then your channel skyrocketed and I’m really happy for you!
Love the video Chris! Congrats on 1M!
