Students do their homework in a fear of getting scolded by their teachers not to gain knowledge, meaning that the benefits of homework as a learning tool are lost entirely. I believe encouraging students to do self-study is much better than forcing them to do homework.

I feel like he had to be a right prick if he had to deal with the twins while growing up. Imagine being the third kid and having a set of mischievous twins born after you. I sympathize with Percy.

In the 5th book, Percy said he didn't no want anything to do with his family just because they said that Percy's boss is wrong(which was true) and sidesmd with the truth. Percy gave more importance to his Job which he only had or a few months than his family which were with him since he was born. He did not even bother to visit his father when he was fighting for his life. He even wanted his family to apologise to him when it was him who did all the bad stuff. I wouldn't sympathise someone like him. Atleast, he changed his prideful behavior.

Fangirls are idiotic.
While reading the books, he was one of the few characters I felt bad for when he was ridiculed/something bad happened to him. He was a sort of guiding comfort character throughout the books and whenever he'd come up it was 'Look, there's Percy! How's that report on kettle thickness going?' He's rule-abiding, safety-focused and all in all a character I for one see aspects of myself in, and on the other hand find plain charming and quite important in a day-to-day environment. So sad he gets so little screen time.

Percy was one of my favorites.. sure he came off boastful and full of himself but he had to repeat his achievements because no one in his family took him seriously. he was constantly mocked by Fred and George when he just wanted to be recognized for his hard work. the movies don’t really show that but i personally think Percy was a great character in the books to show a real hard working teenager who wanted to be seen

Have you read the books at all or not seen that one scene in the Order of the Phoenix movie?
Percy turned against Harry, Dumbledore and everyone ended in favour of the Ministry when they were trying to tarnish both Harry and Dumbledore.
There’s also his attitude he acts like he’s above everyone else. He’s pompous, snobby, arrogant, pretentious and thinks he’s the cleverest person in the room and he’s given absolutely next to no or not much further redeemable character development throughout the entire series.

First of all, yes I know Percy did wrong when he went against his family, but he wasn't the only one who didn't believe Harry about Voldemort coming back after being "dead" for over a decade. The most of the wizarding world were against Harry!
But still, Percy reached out for Ron in the Order of the phoenix. He was worried of his little brother's safety. Percy. Loves. His. Family!
And Percy APOLOGIZED. Not many HP character did that. Percy admitted he had been an idiot. Percy fought in the battle for the good side. Percy refused to leave Fred's dead body.
Percy is hecking amazing.

The twins gossip, are sarcastic, taunt people, and ron is more pompous than percy ever was.
Percy was proud of his achievements, but Ron literally acted like he was better than everyone (save hermione) with no merit to it.
Ginny also had a habit of putting others down with an air of superiority. Like when she introduced Luna as Looney Lovegood, and called fleur a cow.

I really like Percy, he was a cool guy tbh, like any other. He was so pompous about him being prefect and head boy because he was also overshadowed by charlie and bill who were both prefects and head boy before him. So for the family it wasn't a surprise that's why he kept bragging about it because he was proud of himself (maybe a bit too proud?) But he's just like any other students I remember reading in the books (PoA) Penny and Percy had a bet 10 galleons of who would win the quidditch cup, penny voted for slytherin and of course percy voted for gryffindor, he even told Harry one time to tell him to try his best to win the quidditch cup cause he doesnt have 10 galleons at all lmao. When gryffindor won even percy was shouting and jumping up and down (as written in the book, 'All dignity forgotten) and even strode off to find penny right after he congratulated gryffindor. He actually was the only one to care about ginny and comfort her in CoS, he also was so relieved to see ron pulled out the water in GoF that he hugged him so tightly. (I was really mad at him for leaving the burrow I was literally shouting to my books lol) but he made up and went back to fight for Hogwarts nevertheless, imagine how heartbroken he was when he saw how Fred died, and he probably was thinking that it should have been him who died instead of Fred. But atleast he made Fred's wish to come true, to die with a smile on his face. One last laugh of Fred came from Percy. The movies did him dirty I might say, Percy is a pretty cool dude really, he was also pretty close to harry. SO I STILL LOVE PERCY VERY MUCH

I love how in the scene where Percy is taking the students to their dorms the *_Slytherins_* are actually getting a move on and doing what they're supposed to be doing, whereas the *_Gryffindors_* are slacking and taking their _sweet ass time_ looking at the _scenery._ Just another reason why Slytherin and Ravenclaw are the best houses.

I was crying when Percy comes back to his family, friends, school to fight against Voldemort and his followers. Just think, there would be someone who is just lile Percy, they have false believes, but in the end, they come back to the right track. We don't know how much they have to satisfy to be able to give out that final decision. I don't care what he did, I care what he finally becomes and he is a good person. I wish the movie could show it.
