I really hate that the pre-game battle always has to compete with the stadium announcements and music. Every game I go to I just wanna go up to the press box and break shyte! lol. Good battle though, but I can't call it. Both band sounded excellent from what I could hear uninterrupted smdh
That only happens when you in Jackson, for the last three trips that southern have taken out there the announcers always try to cut through the music and it's starting to happen every time you play in Jackson and someone's getting in JSU ass

Love these two band programs. The last time i saw these two together in person was a few years ago. I could not decide who was better then and looking at this vid I still can't.
PV cut thru them like butter @ the 11:28 mark. This one of the most underrated but best battles of the season. Most def.. the 3 best sounding bands in the SWAC .. JSU, PV, SU no particular order

Good Battle! This one was close! That All Mine Battle was 🔥🔥🔥🔥 The only difference is JSU Tubas are Head and Shoulders the Best in the SWAC! Glad PV came. I like this new rivalry. Keep it up

To me, the song(All Mine) , it did. The arrangement was better (which includes the Tubas) . I was talking about the All Mine Battle.
PV was more balanced and had a better song selection. JSU still have ways to go being more balanced and but the power is there definitely PV has about 215 and JSU has about 180 it's a difference in sound

When everybody in the SWAC can damn near beat PV this year it makes GSU coaches look pretty damn bad after two national championship runs
You sure about that? We're in the hunt for a championship AGAIN. PV will be at home AGAIN watching us compete for it. In football you rarely get the same team from week to week. Pv and Grambling are perfect examples of it. Pv hasn't won since they beat Gsu in their "championship" game...smh. Meanwhile Grambling controls their own destiny and had improved A LOT.
This was a odd year because PV beat Grambling but lost this game due to most some of their players couldn't play this game.

Well, when you have split/moving parts in each section, it’s not going to always be as loud as you’d expect. Which is one of the things that sets PV apart from other swac bands. It’s all about the arrangements.

@@quanc6302 I marched at Cookman from 2000 - 2005 and I am from Texas. I grew up with the unison and I that's all I knew until I went to cookman. The color with power sends a beautiful sound. PV stands out because of that. They are a MEAC band, but in a SWAC region. I think the director from Norfolk...if that's the case...then that's why.
