- The Fable creates new sonic adventures with five granular delay programs centered around sample and chop algorithms. It employs two analog feedback paths which allow each program to incorporate a unique mix of affected and unaffected feedback. You can soundscapes ranging from smooth, flowing ambience; to bizarre, organic reverberance; to chaotic, glitchy swarms.
In my demo I process synths + guitar through all 5 programs.
00:00 what is fable
00:52 Reverse Delay into Reverse Granular (viola synth pad/bowed guitar)
03:03 Forward Delay into Octave Up Granular (synth pads)
04:51 Analog Delay into Octave Down Granular (guitar)
06:20 Multi-Tap Granular into Multi-Tap Granular (synth/bowed guitar)
08:01 - Forward Delay into Randomized Pitch Granular (modular synths)
I am awaiting delivery of my Fable, this video has made me more excited for it than any other I have seen. Very well done.
4:53 was really pretty, and always appreciate the bowed guitar sounds when I hear them ❤
My favorite delay mod pedal of all times - this pedal is pure magic - especial when i pair it witk my SOMA Cosmos and my Bluesky - M Y effing GAWD - its ..... otherworldly - both on my guitar AND my Synth`s - im litterally in tears by the beauty !!!
Incredible soundscapes! I especially loved the reverse delays. That viola getting so beautifully warped and twirled *chef’s kiss*
Hello Anne. Sounded really nice but similier to how I create my Headrush and Boss Ambient Soundscapes. Great video like 127 from me. All my best wishes 😊😊😊😊🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶👍👍👍👍
Beautiful presentation with amazing sonic landscapes.
Super gorgeous demo Anne!
As always, a beautiful demonstration
This video works so well with the ghostly feel of the visuals and the wartorn sounds of the music!!
Beautiful demo !
5:51 really love this part. The visuals and the audio expanded my mind. Very nice video, thanks for the cool ideas and influence.
Wow such nice environments you've crafted here. :)
Great demo. Worth just listening to for the music. Cool video glitchy stuff too
Sounds incredible! I would probably live in Program 4. I really like the randomness in 5 too.
Great demo, I'm now thinking of buying it
This was really beautiful.
Best video of this pedal so far 👏
Is it weird that I’m at the gym on a Friday night walking on the treadmill and watching this as intently as I’ve ever watched anything in my entire life
Nah. Not weird at all, this video has a serene quality to it so it's hard not to enjoy it and get calmed regardless of what activities you're engaged in.
Cool sounds!
Now I want to put a Fable w/a Lore & see if I can write something damaged about something healing. Formidable comme toujours.
He he..I have the Lore too.. I'd say they would pair up well.. Although I have the Chase Bliss Mood thats in the same type of territory as Fable so I may give it a miss for now...
@@patrickr6505 I really like the Mood too from sounds on yt.
I’ve owned the mood for two years, and I would say these are not at all similar in anyway
@@LoVeAmBiEnT I disagree.. I'm not saying they are exactly the same..I'm saying you can get similar type sounds.. Especially in Slip,Tape and Stretch modes on the Mood where you can get glitchy artifacts...
Exceptional. ❤️
Very cool indeed!
Thanks ... GAS prompt effective.😉
Great demo sounds, I do wish I could hear the raw sounds before processing. Please consider doing a more in-depth or follow up with clean sound then effected. Cheers!
Exceptional demo as ever. Would you say it’s in similar territory to the Fabrikat / Stammen? It seems that way, though with more musical, less experimental presets.
I have a Fabrikat & definitely see similarities. This appears to be more user friendly. As you mentioned, there were a lot of odd settings to wade through on the Fab, but once I got into my favorites it became an integral part of my sound. Fable is a great intro to the glitch universe, and of course Anne makes it sound fantastic.
I was also thinking Red Panda Particle
Great demo, but how does this pedal compare to the Red Panda Particle
So what are the differences of the Lore and this pedal?
Great demo...is it me or does this pedal sound a bit ..dated?
Maybe in the sense that other companies (Pladask, Red Panda etc) have had their takes on this out for awhile now. Still sounds pretty cool, though.
Yea I agree it still sounds cool..It's the first granular/glitch type pedal from Walrus Audio..It was inevitable they would go into that territory.. excited to see what's next in this series..
The feedback paths are analog so some highs were probably rolled off. DSP granular with analog feedback paths.. that's pretty unique.
sounds great, but such a shame it's mono, imo.
Could always chuck a stereo delay on it after.
Unless your chain leading up is stereo, then yeah, you have problems. lol
Buying 2 wouldn't be totally out of the equation if you *really* wanted that sound.
