I've seen it proposed that Orka have its base power at 14 and the effect to reduce its power by 5 if another card is there, so it works more like an inverse Namor instead of having the same effect. It would at least fit into a Zero/Sauron deck, though it does run into a similar issue as Giganto, where Red Skull is simply more versatile. It may just be that Red Skull is overtuned given how easy it is to negate or nullify the downside (Zero, Leech, Enchantress, Sauron, Shuri). I've started leaning toward the "lower power but -1 per enemy" tweak for Red Skull. Even if just looking at the theme factor, it feels weird that Red Skull can solo a Hulk.
Base power of 14 w/ a -5 if he’s with someone is just another way of wording what it already does… 😭 which is not a good change at all bc there is no change lol
@@ShrapnnL The difference is the potential synergy with Zero/Sauron that Orka currently lacks. It would put it in a similar design space as Giganto as a turn 6 power slam that works better if silenced, with Giganto fitting better into Lockjaw/Hela decks.
The primary issue with the design is that 14 power isn't usually enough to take a zone by itself unless it's something like Death's Domain that's difficult to enter, and Orka doesn't help with those locations. I think it could be interesting if Orka's ongoing text instead prevented its own destruction, acting as a counter to the mindless Shang-Chi play and letting you drop something big into Danger Room/Death's Domain/Rickety Bridge without worry. A 6-cost 9/10-power card that can't be destroyed would fit pretty well into a Lockjaw or Electro deck. I think it would still be pretty niche, but it would at least have more use cases than what it currently does.
Onslaught will probably see a resurgence with the Living tribunal. Stack massive ongoing power in one lane (like ramp into dino-> iron man-> onslaught) and then redistribute the power across the 3 locations.

@@strikerz1047 I know, but you play dino+ironman+onslaught, which multiplies (dino+7)*4. Then you play tribunal in another lane, and it distributes that value on the 6th turn. Feels OP to me.
If cosmo doesn't get nerfed by the time this lane stack happens we are going to have problems
@@victormanjarinsala2253 It does but not sure how you are going to make it work. 5 cost, 5 cost 6 cost, then 1 more turn to play 6 cost living tribunal.
Even with Wave on 3, you can play dino on 4, iron man on 5 onslaught on 6. Maybe RNGness with Limbo for location or scarlet witch.
Hulk change- make him a reverse Angela or reverse red skull. Buffs up the more people anger him

Just make that a different hulk card like a Bruce Banner, a 2 cost or something the ramps in power when conditions are met.
I think a problem Onslaught has is that Mystique does the same job without spending your entire turn 6.
its totally diff, mystique copies the last ongoing effect,doesnt double it, onslaught doubles the effect of any ongoing card in the same lane, problem with onslaught is just the meta is very on reveal focus hence why cards like super skrull dont see much play as well

@@zjackshot its not the same lol mystique can only copy the last ongoing u played, onslaught literally doubles every ongoing in the same lane not just one, for example if that same lane has marvel, iron man and kazar , all 3 gets their effect doubled once onslaught is played on it , but on the downside for mystique is if the opponent disabled the ongoing effect of the card u gonna copy first then ur mystique copies nothing
@Dariel S I'm aware but people don't usually dump all ongoings in one location bc of how predictable it is, you're asking for an enchantress, a loss or a retreat meaning it's a hard climb.
No one is saying they're literally the same but if you're playing in high ranks they're effectively the same bc you'll usually be playing onslaught at a location with just one ongoing as to not telegraph yout plays.
Pitch for an Orka fix, drop him to 8 power but if he’s alone in a lane it’s doubled. That way he maintains the shtick that he and namor present and has actual value but is still punished by everything he’s punished by now. And at 6/8 you could do cheeky things like play him in an occupied lane to dodge Shang

As a new player, I love these videos to get an idea of cards I don’t have access to or play against. It’s also interesting to see what’s working for me in the lower pools that seem to be weak later on so thanks for these! I’m curious if you’d ever do updated tier listings for some of these power rank tier vids. I guess there were some big nerfs and buffs that happened even since this was posted 4months ago and I’m curious if they’ve made any difference in your card ratings.
Make my dream come true Cozy. Make a roundtable video where you, Snapster, Alex, Molt, and Bynx just talk about snap. I’d watch every second of it even if its 3 or 4 hours. Make it happen man!

14:12 the dog fence between Them on Helicarrier is basically Cozy has been playing since before release and has never struggled as much on the climb up to have certain decks, whereas snapster came after and no doubt ran the Dino helicarrier agent 13 decks to get cards he didn’t own before for fun and big numbers at the time
So for Onslaught (don't play much but love him)... saw a combo I had never seen before used on me that won the game... with some location ramp and a turn 4 psylock, I got hit with a Wong, mystique, ONSLAUGHT, iron heart... he ended two locations buffed up to 33, and I was baffled as to why until I saw that it wasn't the revealing being doubled, it was the ongoing and it was insane how many times Iron Heart popped!
After hitting infinite, I gave a try with try. A low cost build of 1 and 2 cost, blue marvel, America, Agatha. Play like no one has kill monger. You get a lot of cards out and was surprising decent on cubes
Leader should've been nerfed to copying your opponents cards played at adjacent locations to the location Leader was played.

25:40 I love Spectrum and it's so sad that most of the cards that have good Ongoing effects just aren't Ongoing cards for no discernable reason. Sunspot, Titania, Daredevil, Angela, Bishop, Collector... even bad cards like Adam Warlock and Kingpin. I know it would actively make them worse because they could be countered but... Why are you making me run Quinjet in my Ongoing deck just to have decent curve??? 😢
Unpopular opinion - Dr Doom is not that strong and he is not ans S tier. There are just way too many situations where adding 5 power on turn six is not enough. Go tall, not wide.
I still enjoy playing Leader and if you know how to set up your board (most importantly the middle lane must be available) then it guarantees a win if you have a lead unless of course there's a situation where you lose if they play high power left lane
I think it would be nice to have combos tier list
I think these kind videos should be done anytime a card is released into that cost category
I actually got to rank 90+ with a ramp ongoing Orka deck lol. The play I did was to either Armor one lane, play Destroyer on 5 and most people will be expecting a Spectrum but I play Orka to win the 3rd lane. If I don't draw Armor, I play Destroyer into Cosmo. I was doing fine before the current meta of Shuri and Thanos decks.

I consider that infinaut is an A, just for the deck with she-hulk and psylocke, with those 3 cards un tour hand on turn 4 you have the win secured
ive won so many games with ramp to leader and odin lol...a few wongs too ive stolen entire squads. you just have to ease into the two right locations

I think a good fix for Leader is make his ability like Zola's, duplicate the opponent's plays at the other two locations, and maybe remove 1 or 2 power from him to balance?
I love Zola. And lately, I have been having this dream of splitting a Shang Chi and blowing up 2 lanes.
Tip for leader, ramp him out early and put him in the right lane then Zola him to others. Old leader :)
@cozy snap klaw, mister fantastic, mystique, blue marvel all mix well with orka. Also shuri, hulk buster work with him as well
Sometimes like even Blue Marvel into Arnim Zola will win you the game and no one sees it coming.

my favorite thing to do with onslaught is have mystique copy his ability on patriot, works far better than having her copy patriot instead. This strat is super contingent on magik though lol

Spectrum I think has the surprise factor, but I think that’s mostly because I always forget she exists.

I feel Hulk needs some sort of effect like +1 or +2 for ever card of yours that your opponent destroyed during the game or something, and make another card the 6/12 vanilla drop.
I like Onslaight. Onslaught+Ironman+Omega Red in a single lane has won me so many games.
I feel like Agatha is great is you have wave and are at a low collection level. She guarantees boosters for herself which can help get your levels up. Decks to make her work aren't overly complicated either and can be fairly versatile with 4-5-6 cost cards. Definitely an F tier when thinking pure card power and how well it can do against the meta decks but she definitely has her uses.
I think they're going off the win-rate stats more than her actual playability. Lots of infinite rank players use her to bot their MMR into the toilet so they go up against legit low MMR players after reset.

It'd be interesting if hulk had some mechanic for scaling up his power under certain conditions. Maybe on reveal gains X amount of power if he's played adjacent to a lane your opponent is winning? I don't know, it just feels like hulk shouldn't be outclassed by damn near every other 6 cost card in the game. I can't recall a time I've been on turn 6 and thought to myself "... But what if they have hulk?"
Im playing hela in a normal discard deck as a back plan an she is doing really good
I unfortunately opened orca the second he hit pool 4, so I tried to make it work in a deck where you stack 1 lane with things like omega red, klaw, onsaulghta and then there are potentially 2 open lanes for Namor and orca.
Turns out I never played Orca. I maybe played him once in 50 games. I always played namor in a lane then tried to win my stacked lane with other 5 and 6 cost cards.
14 power was never enough to pivot and slam down in an open lane on turn 6. I always felt like there was so many ways I could lose the game slaming orca down. If they have 1 card in that open lane, it feels like they could play anything there and win. A Lizard in an open lane threatens a 1 cost she hulk to just win over your orca while attacking another lane.
What about sending him after Hobgoblin? Then he potentially becomes 6/22 in a lane. Not great, but not that terrible.
@Chomsky Honk that's turn 5 and 6 to win a single lane, kinda dicey. I like the idea though. Maybe green goblin is better so you can use turn 3 to help win instead of 5.
Onslaught with Blue Marvel is my absolute fav deck lol
I think this card is ok, since it is like yondu but it is just target your biggest cost in hand, if the target is The Infinaut, Agata, Giganto, Destroyer, Hulk or that give advantage to opponent
I think onslaught is strongest in the Omega Red + Iron Man lane. I think if Omega Red ever gets his effect buffed it will significantly increase Onslaught’s play
I think they should add a location which cannot be destroyed and card with similar effect as well

I was waiting for the cost tier list series to come back! Seems like forever. I love these. Tho, don't take them too seriously, a card is only as good as the player using it. I've used The Hulk to reach infinite 3 seasons in a row now :P

@@wildprodigy Lockjaw/Jubilee/Electro deck. I even just straight up play him sometimes at turn 6 and win just with that power. This season was pretty hard to get to Infinite with this deck alone, so I had to use a Double Devil deck to get from r95 to r100. But, I was still using all series 3 cards. You really don't need to whale to hit infinite in this game. All about when to snap and when to retreat
Onslaught has won me so many games with Patriot and Mystique.
I feel like underrated hulk because there a lot of time of instances where magneto is a downside and will lose you the game

I’ve only been playing for a month but I stick to winning two lanes and let the opponent worry about three and I’ve been killing it but once I get galactus it’s going to be over

I mainly use onslaught in my wong combo deck, wave+onslaught+ magik+ wong+mystique+ gambit=clear board
plus cosmo or enchantress or aero and ur out of here lol
Snapster is so eloquent. I kept disagreeing with his ratings, only for him to effectively sell me on his position with his explanation.

I really want to see orca drop to 8 and then get buffed by 8 when alone. So that way it can be a good if another card get shanged
The best way to fix Onslaught is to drop his power to five but he affects all locations.
Alternate fix is to leave as is but at a cost of five.
affecting all lanes is pretty op for a last turn play, best think is to reduce its cost
@@dariel299 it’s really just a question of what the developers want to emphasize. But of the two I feel the reduced cost makes him a card that will be used more consistently in matches of 70 and lower.
Infinaut if a top card when with other cards. Moon Girl for two She-Hulks into Magic turn 5 for a 40 power drop on turn 7 is so good especially if you have a Sunspot soaking up that turn 6 power.
I'm surprised nobody asked for a nerf of Dr Doom yet, I think as 6/4 he would still be good, mostly because of his ability to reach multiples lanes and closed locations.
Venom and Knull just a great combo. KNull a high S for me.
A massive buff for Arnim Zola would be if he automatically destroyed the last card you played. It would stop him from always choosing card like Wong in a Wong'd lane. That's why I love Taskmaster so much. Anxiety free card right there.

What about Orka if it was a 6/14 and if another card is in this lane he gets -5. Some fun interaction with Luke cage. Both are ongoing cards too which can be nice with things like spectrum too.

Hey Cozy, love your channel. Want to get your opinion on this, what do you think about shehulk in a Sauron deck? I feel shehulk requires me to skip turn 5 to use, but that turn is mainly for my red skull. I'm running a self made Sauron deck, my go to play is Sauron, Typhoon Mary, Red Skull if the cards are in hand then T6 will be either Zola or Areo/Taskmaster + Maw. I don't have Shehulk yet and 100% planning to get Shuri. Im not sure if Shehulk would actually make my deck better as Sauron enables Maw for T6 and not needing to skip T5. I worry Shehulk would actually be a dead draw in most my games.
depends what ur going for cause u actually want she hulk skill to function and not be disabled by sauron in most cases, and i dont think she synergises as well in a sauron deck, but she hulk definitely fits into most other decks so shes a good pick if ur interested in other deck comps

Onslaught is crazy with omega red
Leader: i recently won a game with him, but i generated him from a card, and the opponent wasnt expecting it, also the stars aligned. for which statline would make him viable? Id say either 6/-1 or 6/-2, with the old effect: "copy all cards your opponent played this turn". that would balance him for normal decks i think, but it would create new problems with Mr Negative, but all in all i feel like giving up power for a push like this would feel more fair. maybe even make him 0/-2 with the effect "copy all cards your opponent played this turn, you cant play any other cards besides Leader this turn", making him work for every stage of the game, but countering the problem with mr negative(who would buff him to 0/0), making him more flexible but also functioning basically the same
