    I am yet to find a more resilient plant than this one. I sometimes take a single stalk and stick it in dirt, water daily and believe it or not, another plant comes from it. When you transplant it to another pot it the plant might look as if it is not going to make it but it always recover. Once the flowers or "butterflies " wilt you just pull them out and new ones come out. I have made multiple transplants and even have accidentally bury some of the bulbs thinking there was nothing in it and next year, when I was working on my compost and lo and behold...more bulbs and many more plant possibilities. 🍀🦋

Thanks in advance 🙏

  • @LagrangePoint901
    @LagrangePoint901 2 роки тому +2

    I think you should have completely separated the bud corms from the main stem. The plant looked like it had a healthy but compacted center growth full of budded corms each wanting a space of its own. I believe this is why your stem growth is mostly laying laterally instead of a nice symmetrical rounded dome with each leaf having its own space and no gaps in the foliage. My plant sat on the top of an office partition directly under regular fluorescent light and grew beautifully. A nice full-rounded upsidedown bowl shape growth. The plant is extremely light-sensitive and will bend toward the light during the day so getting a nice even growth outside would be ideal in a green house of out of direct sunlight but the sun rotating around the plant. Just some of my experiences.

      @GardeningUpbeat  3 роки тому +1

      @zahid ghumra, Glad to know it's working and I knew it would :-) Again, thank you so so much for your words, appreciate it a lot :-) Back to the business -
      Soil for Money plant - Trust me, they really do good in any soil..be it either rich soil or bad soil. The most important thing is, we need to provide them something so that they can climb up and grow much faster. When they climb up or spread, they produce way too many roots in each nodes and this is the way they actually grow. But overall, a good and safe soil mix would be like this - Normal garden soil - 40%, Cocopeat or Sand - 20%, Vermicompost - 20% and Perlite - 20%. It's okay if you do here and there a bit. Just please make sure that Soil is NOT too compact and whenever you water your plant, it drains really well. Good luck ☺️

    Hello, I live in Southern California and have 2 purple shamrock plants. What is going to happen to my plants in the winter? If I bring them inside, will they survive year round? It's been cold at night, around 53 degrees so I've been bringing them in at night and putting back outside during the day. I have a bright spot for them inside but when I first bought them they didn't start to flourish until I put them outside. Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thank you!

      Mieszkam w Polsce, teraz temperatury w dzień około od 10 do 15 st. Celsjusza w nocy od 0 do 6 st Celsjusza. Ja swoje kwiaty obcinam całe i doniczkę przechowuję w chłodnym ciemnym miejscu od 8 do 15 stopni Celsjusza (piwnica, garaż) nie podlewam. Na początku marca bulwy wkładam do nowej ziemi (mix jak na filmie) i podlewam umiarkowanie. Trzymam na parapecie w kuchni od północy, aż zaczną kiełkować. Później przenoszę na okno wschodnie. Jak temperatura jest powyżej 15 st C w dzień i 10 st. C w nocy wystawiam na zewnątrz od strony północnej. Pięknie rosną i kwitną. Nawóz biohumus raz na 2 tygodnie.

    Thanks for the video! I have a question. What do you do with very low-hanging leaves? My oxalis has become very stretched and leggy and somewhat heavy. Some of the longest don't seem to hold their own weight. Should one cut them down although not in dorment state?

      Needs more light. Sounds like you have the plant in heavy shade.

      ....if your plant is growing a bit top heavy... could be too much Fert ... or it is stretching foe more light ... never direct sunlight just bright light ...

    will this plant sustain in summer in Assam climate dada ?
    I could finally find one in local shop, have potted in compost+soil+rice husk well draining mix.
    Also give some tip to clean its fragile.leaves because the nursery people splashed so much muddy water over it.
    Also wanna know can I grow fuschia in Assam ? If so where to find it ?

      @Pushkar Tripathi, Would sustain but needed to be take some care...like, please avoid keeping it outdoor during continuous rainy season (happens quite often in our place). All these recordings are old and same plant is still with me. In Summer, it looks very sad looking though :-( Leaves are really very soft..so, would be bit tough to clean them. But still, you can use presser washer (please hold the leaves very carefully) Fuschia - Can be grown in our place. Once I saw in Daffodil Nursery (in Summer). I bought 2 of them even though they were looking very dull. Tried my best but didn't survive as it was Summer time and plants were not that good :-(

      This happens with sensitive plants like Oxalis. In nursery, it was in different environment and at your home, now it's getting different environment. So, it would take someday to adjust in it's new home. Please keep only under indirect sunlight be careful not to overwater. Thank you!

      Once when the top soil is dry..The soil shouldn't hold the water for much longer.Anyway, they signal nicely when they need water..for example, u can check out this short video which I recorded - ua-cam.com/users/shortsvxtlrbq0ywE
