I was hoping on making an animation but I can't load in my world. It says it needs to be in classic Minecraft. I don't know what that means. I'm on windows 10 and it also say that mineways is not safe
I have a graphics card that is comparable to a GTX950 and he said GTX960 or above should be fine, so I'm just hoping what I got will work, also if you watched far enough he said one of the animators did it on cpu integrated graphics, so you might wanna look into that.
Ever since I watched Rainimator, I went CRAZY ans started browsing UA-cam and watching, ZAMination, Enchanted Mob, you guys, etc. I was heavily discouraged when Fortnite got popular and I noticed Minecraft animators were getting flack because of it. Now that Minecraft's back in business I'm finally done putting off animation. Thx for the tutorials!
I like how BPS decides to even *teach* to make animations. Looking upon the success of BPS they could just make animations and never teach so that they don't lose the viewers. But they still teach us. Epic!

This works perfectly fine in Blender 2.8 and 2.9, y'all stop complaining for an updated version without even trying to follow this tutorial. If the minecraft textures look all blurry, just go to the texture tab and set the texture interpolation from linear to closest for all of the textures.
If someone is wondering how to find the toolshelf (place where you find McPrep-Addon) in Blender 2.8: It's on the right side of the 3D Viewport-Window. Next to the place where you set all the render settings (18:08) there is a little arrow. You have to drag it out ;-)
Please make an updated version of this... The minecelraft versions are changing and everything is so different. The nether update has brought aa lot of new things in the game and the Caves and Cliffs will bring some changes too!

Of course it's recommended to use Premiere Pro for something like UA-cam videos or combining multiple animations and stuff. But however if you want you can make a normal video with After Effects. I had been using both programs for years now. I hope i am not wrong.
another tip:- when you are making the world for the scene always keep your render distance at 2 chunks so that it will load less chunks and it will we easy to find your scene

So for some reason my map gets imported into blender as a single object, not separate objects for diffeent materials. I am using the same export settings in Mineways as in the video, any idea how to fix this?

I even havent downloaded the full version of minecraft so its kinda hard making animations for it ,especially that it needs some apps to be downloaded that sometimes gives virus to the computer. Even though I cant try it , I still watched it because Im kinda curious how u make your animations but I didnt understand 1/8 of it 😅. I still appreciate that you spared your time to do a tutorial of minecraft animation😁
AnxiousCynic Yes. If he did "Save as Startup file", that animation would open every time he opens blender, or tries to start a new project. If he saves it as a project, whenever he opens blender he can have the default startup. If he wants to work on the animation, he can open the file through blender. If you are only going to be working on one project for a long time, you may want to save it as startup, however I would recommend saving it as a file. Hope this helped!
I can see that, but generally you're going to use a lot of these same settings, regardless of project. "Save Startup File" would eliminate the issue of accidentally overwriting the Project Settings save, and would still give a general starting point for even non-Minecraft animation Blender uses. It's all preference, of course; I was just curious what Arbiter's mindset was in using this method.
I will look into this for episode 2! I swear I played around with that/googled for it but heard there wasn't a way to change Blender's startup defaults.

Thankfully, the newest version of Blender, Blender 2.8, is much more streamlined and the interface is much more beginner friendly. You can just watch a Blender 2.8 beginner tutorial that isn't specific to Minecraft.

for everyone that it says "MSVCR120.dll is missing" you have to install www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=40784 to get it working.
