Mr. Occhino you are the best PGA instructor out there! You break the swing down, eliminate all the BS, and present your teaching in the most simplified and effective manner. And it all works. Kudos to you sir!
Billie Dale, I'm very honored at your great compliments. Very thoughtful and insightful. May you have excellent success and prosperity both on and off the course.
Gary, just came across you on you tube. How come you don’t post anymore? I’ve followed channel lock, Venetos, earnest young, Austin, moe, etc. It wasn’t until viewing your vid on turning around spinal axis-bent over, that it clicked for me. That really helped with swing path, pivot, and ball striking. I wish I could get more distance (I’m 68 now), but I’m slicing much less, and hitting the ball much straighter now. Thanks.
Thanks Gary. I had an AHA moment recently. It has something to do with a shift in the way I view the whole path of the golf swing. I was working on inside out swing and another golf instructor wrote that the actual path the club head travel is actually a straight one from the inside to the outside until it can' go any further and naturally turned and complete the circular swing. So I experimented with this idea on the golf course and finally found the correct angle of attack that allow me to swing inside out and straight out. The ball started going straight again and again. I will try to describe this angle of attack. It feels like a circular swing but the circle is more to the right of the target line. The right elbow is tucked to the side the entire time on the down swing. The angle of attack required the right side of body stay back as long as possible while the arms start to come down from the inside. With this angle, I can swing in a straight line but to the right of the target line. Eventually the club can' go any further as my body naturally prevent it and it naturally take a left turn and around my left side.
Thim, Thank you very much. I don't believe we have any videos that match your request. Everyone is different so it makes it difficult to use the word "should." Feel free to continue to enjoy the videos.
if you allow your arms to extend after impact...your hands are going away and to the right. You mentioned earlier to keep the hands on the belt line and close to your body. so i am confused....you can't do both. I do love your instruction,,,I just need this clarified.
Jennifer, Thank you for your question and for requested clarification. This is a very tricky concept. While I do say "keep you hands along the belt line," there may be a better way to say it. It may be better to say "Keep your hands parallel or concentric to your belt line." The major idea is that the hands do NOT go out and to the right. You are very correct in this aspect. The hand path and the club moving left are most important. The arms can still extend while this leftward rotation is happening.
Hey Gary really like your style I typed in the address at the end of this video and the ink seems to be parked. Are the DVD's still available thanks John

Ray-Glad you found something that helps you and personally makes sense. It is nice to have breakthroughs that lead to results. Thank you for sharing.
Gary, you’re the best but jeez that machinery in the background, can’t take it 😊
Hey Gary, I'm trying to get back to playing golf again.
Great video. Is there any videos explaining how the wrist and arm should be at each movement? Thanks.
