Is there a difference between Graphic EQ and parametric EQ? Reason I ask is because I wanted to purchase a DBX 266xs and connect it to my 286s for voice over. Do you think that is a good add on?

It depends on the type of sound you're looking for. What is it that you're trying to accomplish? What type of sound are you going after?

@@HeyLennyB Thank you for the quick response. I am going to do a faceless voiceover for sports video’s here on UA-cam. I have a SM7B and RE20 microphones and wanting it to sound like a mix between a broadcast and movie trailer voice. I am new to this, so I’m not sure on the correct terminology.

Ok, I understand. You should be able to achieve a sound like that with the DBX 286s by itself. Adding the 266 and using it as a limiter may give you more of the broadcast sound, but it's easy to overdo it. I show you how to set the DBX 286s in this video ua-cam.com/video/mTg-HzHTsec/v-deo.html, and you may have seen it. I'd suggest increasing the "drive" to get a more broadcast sound.

I use Shure SM7B mic and I want to edit sound like you. Which course should I choose on your website?

Hi @rean8899, It's difficult for me to point you in the right direction without hearing what you're working with. I'd be happy to offer my suggestions if you send me your audio sample. Please follow the three steps on this page: www.lennyb.com/get-your-voice-processed-submission-form

@@HeyLennyB I already enroll your EQ Foundation course and it's great short course I ever seen. I heard you suggest us to learn about compression as well but I don't see this course on your website.

I am still working on the compression course. I hope to have it finished and available in the first quarter of 2024. Thanks!
