Revise & Improve Voice-Over Marketing Videos (Episode #13)

This video podcast episode is a one-on-one coaching session with voice-over audio engineer Lenny B. and voice-over artist Julie OConnell. This episode is one of several real-life marketing coaching sessions based on the training course called Modern Synergy Marketing For Voice-Over.
In this episode, we review the revision of Julie's first marketing video, compare the changes, and discuss why the revision is a better marketing piece. It's better at illustrating her skill and bringing out her true personality. She moved away from what we're calling "anchor Julie" and did a better job of capturing her authentic self.
We discussed how the audio captured inside her studio versus outside was very noticeable and created contrast. We discuss the video's pacing and tempo and the concept of approaching the "viewer" with a gift vs asking for permission.
Other topics include video resolution, editing and producing video in Apple's Final Cut Pro, using the iPhone 15 Pro's camera to capture video, and speaking to a single person instead of addressing a large group.
We discussed how you recover from mistakes and how they are more important than perfection.
Finally, we discussed the potential audience size and delivered simple content focused on elementary meditation concepts.
We discussed sharing Julie's appreciation for meditation icon Jason Stevenson and what adding an element like music does to the final message and presentation.
