I've always been bothered by the fact that Mandela only wrote one book in his rich political career, his Autobiography and a number of speeches popularized on TV and other platforms. Most African Political Leaders of his calibre left us with timeless books which are still relevant in today's political space. I could quote the likes of Kwame Kruma, Jomo Kenyatta and others. He's political career dependent mainly on his charisma and popularity. I don't remember in class as a Political Science student, coming across any material one could reference from the old man in an attempt to write an assignment on any subject, be it Political Economy, Philosophy Development Studies and so on.

I've always been bothered by the fact that Mandela only wrote one book in his rich political career, his Autobiography and a number of speeches popularized on TV and other platforms. Most African Political Leaders of his calibre left us with timeless books which are still relevant in today's political space. I could quote the likes of Kwame Kruma, Jomo Kenyatta and others. He's political career dependent mainly on his charisma and popularity. I don't remember in class as a Political Science student, coming across any material one could reference from the old man in an attempt to write an assignment on any subject, be it Political Economy, Philosophy Development Studies and so on.
I also do not think so. Like they never liked Mandela .During the time of Mandela Zulus supported IFP. Mandela was not welcome in Kwazulu-Natal. Only when Zuma was promoted to be in charge of the province the started to shift to ANC.
