- Want to know what a pet stroller is like? Especially for cats? You've come to the right cat stroller review! I got this last summer and have used it for all 4 seasons since. In this review, I take you through unboxing, assembly, and the cat's impressions of the Pet Gear No-Zip Special Edition 3 Wheel Pet Stroller for Cats and Dogs. Plus at the end, what I liked and didn't like about it. And some considerations, like the height of the stroller, zip vs no-zip, etc.

--About Riles--
Riles is our 17 year old rescue cat. We adopted him from the wonderful Calgary Humane Society in December 2018 to live here in his all-inclusive, tres exclusive kitty retirement home. So exclusive that it's just for him...and now, also for Chester. Two senior cat residents, two "staff members".

I'm currently training my 10 yr old cat with a harness. I've also got a backpack for him that I leave out and put his toys and treats in it so he knows it is a good place. It does take a loooong time to get the older ones used to something new. That is a really nice stroller. Only time will tell if this will be a success - he does have a cateo so he gets outside time, but I thought the backpack might be a good idea. Of course, in the end it's what the cat will accept not what his lowly human wants.

I’ve got one I use it to take my cat to the vet it’s only a 10 minute walk but I’ve got osteopenia so I can’t carry him in a cat carrier. But I’ve never had any trouble with putting him in the pet buggy in fact he loves it he likes looking around and I know he feels safe in it which is the most important thing!

@@seniorcatland Hi! Great video. So glad Riles loves his walks now. Hopefully soon Chester will too? May I ask a question? Does the seat where they sit/lie down come off at the handle like a bassinet if u will that u can take them to the vet if need be? I so much want a stroller, but where I live its very busy and I probably would be afraid of my cat wanting to chew her way out.

Thank you so much for your video, it has helped me in deciding what to buy for my own kitty. As I am a miniature person I had to buy one with an adjustment at the handle bar to accommodate my short stature. I had to pay Canadian funds $324.00 to get one, I hope my kitty loves it.

@@seniorcatland Well, it's five months later now and my Kitty loves his stroller so much that he sleeps in it every day for at least five hours. I keep it in the living room so he is sleeping near me a lot of the time.

I paid $80 for the Pet Gear No-Zip Happy Trails Lite Pet Stroller (pretty much the first one shown in this video).
For $275 I'd expect the stroller to be amazing 😮
True, though I found the quality very good. Less expensive strollers that I've seen in stores just don't compare - very poor quality.
It’s awesome that you can give outside time to Riles and Chester, with relief for their older bones, when they need it. I’m glad you found a stroller finally, and a good one, at that!

I have mobility issues and think the pet stroller is a godsend it enables me to safely take our two indoor cats to and from the vet.
Our pet stroller has removable carriers which also fold flat and takes up very little room to store, prefer ones with removable carriers, handy if you have to travel by car. Our cats are twelve years old, (same litter,) and they love the pet stroller, we live in Scotland.

My beloved Moochie had one but she hated it.
Now my current Cheeto doesn’t mind his harness (although I never did harness training), but he probably would love the stroller (shame I had donated it before I got him).

ouch!! Inflation is out of control! I bought this one for $212 (Canadian) two years ago. I don't know if I would've paid $400. That said, we still use it and it works perfectly.

Not sure if you're still replying to these comments, but how long did the process of getting them to be able to go out for walks take? My cat's new stroller arrived today, so I'm very excited to be able to take him outdoors.
Sorry for the late reply! Hopefully your cat loves their stroller by now. It took Riles no time at all (but he was also the one who only took a week to get used to the harness). Chester liked to go in the stroller but too freaked out to go more than a meter past the front door.
I had to consult your video to help with the wheels but my front wheels aren’t like yours so I’m even more confused lol

Does it have a clip on the inside to attach to the cat harness? We are also looking at a cat backpack 😉
Yes there's a strap with a clip inside which can be attached to a harness. I've never actually used it though.
@@seniorcatland Thank you, my cats are 11 and 14 but very playful and I think they would jump if they saw something. I like the clip in the front instead of a zip. Hmm.... I have been deciding on a stroller or cat-pack for a year now as well 😁
all i can say is that I wish I got it sooner! Riles really loves it. If I don't put it away after our walks, he'll jump in it and cry. oh it's too cute. I'm sure at least one of your cats will enjoy it :-)

Yes! It's made for dogs and cats. I'm sure it's okay for some other small animals too. It's very secure.
Both of my cats like to sit in the stroller but only Riles (the orange one) gets to go outside in it. He really loves to go outside but when his legs get tired, he will climb into the stroller so he can still explore while resting :-)
@@seniorcatland Hi again. Do u think Riles would benefit from CBD oil for his joints? I am reading up on this to try for my 6yr old female cat who has suspected IBD.
