I love to see that you are focused and doing your thing. I am a self taught nail tech and have been doing my nails myself and others since 2012. I would love to share My little tips. I would suggest to use a smaller size brush( #8, 10) not sure what size you use. Lay your first bead in the middle (stress point) to start building your apex. To keep the shape you created before acrylic application just wipe the sizes as you go. Keep the nail downward and not flat. But you are doing a fabulous job. 💅🏽💕

Hey Solai ,I’m also a beginner nail teach and I found that when I’m applying the acrylic holding your clients finger down really helps with application instead of applying the acrylic and just dragging it down it kinda makes the nails really thin hopefully this method helps you.❤️

Yes she's absolutely right about holding the finger down gravity will help alot by holding your clients fingers down and make sure you give your bead on your brush a couple seconds before applying and depending on the climate if it's cold your acrylic will be more runny and take longer to dry when it's hot your acrylic will dry faster, and it all depends on the brands every acrylic works differently with diff monomers you'll figure it out shit I'm still going through diff acrylics seeing what works best for me lol you'll eventually figure out what brands you love and work best for you.

I’m a beginner nail tech as well but I’m in school learning so my best advice is practice makes perfect and get some acrylic brush cleaner for your brushes.. it saves them from hardening & also with your arm rest wrap a towel and a napkin around it.. it’ll save more time in between clients and make a better clean up & etc…

    hey , im a beginner too . some tips / info :
    - the cuticle bead is closest to the skin .
-the thickness needed near the cuticle is called an “apex “ . something i struggle building as a beginner .
    - make sure you use an dehydrator , you can use acetone or order one .
I can give more if you’d want .

3 swipes in the monomer and 1 tap in acrylic =small bead
2 swipes in the monomer and 2 taps in acrylic = medium bead
1 swipe in the monomer and 3 taps in the acrylic =large bead
    Hope that helps 💕

Ya'll need to get your liscense first or else what you are doing is illegal. Do your nails for fun but only charge after you are liscensed. Based off the cleaning procedures in this video, this person is not a professional and could get reported to her state's board if she is not careful. Surprised she is even flaunting her illegal nails on youtube

So when you added the clear acrylic over your colored acrylic or anything like glitter foils flowers literally anything it's called encapsulation hun so for all your colored acrylics you can use them just like "paint" meaning a thin layer and then build your nail and Apex with clear acrylic it saves on colored acrylic and clear acrylic is stronger and it helps you from not filing off anything you have underneath. And you want your thickest point to be where your natural nail and your nail tip meets that's your Apex area that helps your nails from breaking your thinnest points would obviously be your top cuticle area u wanna file them so they look flush and your tips don't have to be super thick either but your doing good girl you'll learn just watch other nail techs that's what I did. I'm self taught and I'm like a beginner/intermediate myself keep it pushing girl never get discouraged cuz in this game it can happen alot when ur not getting bookings or people just throwing shade but like I said keep pushing ur doing good hun ♥️🤗
