- Found this by accident when I got too close to a wall and saw the prompt and wondered what it was for. Doesn't look like a vending machine at first. Wonder if they have more with different guns.

Would have been really cool to have an iconic slaught-o-matic that was modified to be reloaded via stripper clip, i just love how goofy and colorful they look and I wish there was one that was actually practical to use
Budget Arms: Making HI Points look like master crafted gear from 40k.
In many ways, I imagine that a good chunk, if not the majority of the Imperium's tech by the time of 40K would have been the equivalent to Budget Arms back in the days of the Dark Age of Technology. You know, being cheap to produce, easy to use, and only ever intended to be used as a last resort/a stopgap measure until your STC can produce better gear.
I love the idea this city is so morally bankrupt you can just buy a fire arm no issue, imagine a kid just getting one of those.
You'd like Borderlands then.

You can find kids holding guns in the streets, but usually not those.

They're all over the place. Usually, the shittier the neighborhood the more likely. Just look for huge collections of vending machines and you'll eventually find one.
The best part is the “pull tab” thing. Like it’s a soda or something lol.

There's always a silver lining. Despite how crappy the world of Cyberpunk is in 2077... At least the ATF doesn't seem to exist anymore. I mean, you can legally buy disposable machine pistols in vending machines.

@@SatisfactoryOK If you mean the Carnage, they are actually pretty common. You can get a Legendary one from the Psychokiller quest On Deaf Ears, but it takes a fairly late level, between 25 and 30, to beat. You can also get one from the Gig Backs Against the Wall, as the guy you are hunting down has one. And then there's the Mox, the iconic version you get for doing Judy's quests.

the only real issue with this gun is it doesn't scale in level, so realistically if you were to attempt a Budget Arms-only campaign it'd be with the much less interesting SMG
You just need a lot of points in handguns, ninjutsu, and some very good gear (clothes and cyberware alike)

On the vending machine it shows there's a white Slaught-O-Matic but I've never gotten one no matter how many times I've used the vending machine, is it like a 1 in a million gun or does it not exist as an obtainable item?

I killed a guy holding a white one before
i made a 89% crit chance and 600% crit damage and this thing (i think idr) one shot adam smasher XD
i use the legendary short circuit and the passive ability deal like 100.000 damage

They used to be 90 eddies now their 630 with the new update😭
love how cheap they are but they tend to glitch and stop dispensing after about 20 guns but if you save and go back in you can keep going and then take them apart for infinite common and uncommon parts
I think they just run out, you can probably only fit 20 guns in there
in the world of cyberpunk, there are definitely tutorials on how to reload these- unless they use some very specific ammo (which i don't think they would, since that would not be cost effective to invent a new caliber)

You can upgrade them but they scale with level so it's better to just buy new ones.
Realistically you can load one at a time through the ejection port if this thing was real maybe use even some sort of stripper clip mechanism but honestly I don't think it's worth that much effort

Probably just for world building , but cmon what’s the point of these ? Guns are more common in this game than bullets , literally . Walk into any combat scenario and you walk out with atleast 10 that are way stronger than these for free . Fuck sometimes weapons are just lying on the ground .
