i wrote this about loving someone who doesn’t treat you how you deserve to be treated. the coping mechanism of finding positive emotions towards a negative person and situation when you feel trapped. therefore, creating the metaphor to stockholm syndrome. i’m being sarcastic and satirical with the lyrics, but at the same time extremely vulnerable and brutally honest. this is a twisted love story, but a love story at that. when you love someone to death; rather than loving someone to life.
