The 172s were usually London Overground for the goblin line but now it transform as West Midlands Railway and the class 710s were took over the goblin line London Overground for 172s
I remember going to Coventry and seeing someone with a camera on the 13th. i would have said hello but I had to leave quick to get somewhere. Weren't there when I got back. Ah well - good video anyways!
You said about break neck speeds for the 172, I think them points at Coventry should be 20 mph and not 15 cause the Leamington side it’s 15 and it is painfully slow
The West Coast franchise is being handed over to a consortium of First Group, known for running Transpennine Express, and Trenitalia, the Italian national rail operator. So, the consortium has cleverly named itself First Trenitalia.
@@josephharrison8354 It hasn't announced its branding yet. For now it is being referred to as either West Coast Rail (which I believe is its official name, just like with Virgin, who are actually West Coast Trains), or as First Trenitalia in order to distinguish themselves from Virgin. Neither will be used as the official brand
Personally, I think it's necessary. Sure it's expensive, and as its so large will affect a large number of people, but realistically nothing else can be done that provides the same benefit without costing significantly more. The West Coast is in urgent need of capacity relief, and the Midland and East Coast will also soon need it too. The WCML upgrade 10 years ago basically proved that you can't just upgrade it as within 5 years of completion further upgrades were necessary to accomodate longer 11 car trains and still its overcrowded. Furthermore, schemes such as Midlands Connect and Northern Powerhouse Rail, which are just as necessary (particularly NPR) as HS2 can't be completed without HS2 having already been built. And the argument it's damaging to the environment is a little bit silly IMO, as it's negligible compared with road traffic and the amount of ancient woodland destroyed across the entire scheme is less than the Lower Thames Crossing, which is only 5% of HS2's total length
Very true, I think HS2 would effect a massive amount of people wanting to travel further. It would probably free up the existing networks for freight to no longer be on the road, but more of it on rail. That would therefore free up space on the roads, causing all round less carbon emissions and traffic.
The service to Edinburgh wouldn't detach and terminate at Crewe. I would be very surprised if it did, it should just carry on as is all the way up to Scotland
great vid of coventry .selection of trains a treat.....question for you how does the driver know when to start off again .is it a buzzer inthe cab .from the train manager????
Thanks very much, yes the guard will signal the driver to let him know that the train is ready to depart. The driver will then alert the guard to let him or her know that they have received the acknowledgement that they have the all clear to depart
Amused by the guy with the surfboard and bike. As the board is intended for chucking into the water so he can practice falling off it again, why prevent it from getting wet with a tarpaulin?
great film as always Jarred, thumbs up as always, will you continue doing your rush hour series when the days get shorter and will be dark from around 5-6pm?, keep up the good work though bud and a thumbs up from me a always
Thanks very much bud, I have one more rush hour film left to film this year. Having done a fair few night time films I just feel that they don't come out all that well. Whilst I can see them perfectly fine it doesn't come out all that well on my camera

I got an awesome tone from a 350 going to Birmingham and it was extremely loud at Coventry
The layout of the station greatly amplifies everything

About The 17:22 to Edinburgh. One part of the train will detach and terminate at Crewe right
The service to Edinburgh wouldn't detach and terminate at Crewe. I would be very surprised if it did, it should just carry on as is all the way up to Scotland
I meant the 17:42 service and I saw Google and the train to Edinburgh was at the same platform as the service to Crewe
If a 221 double was going from London Euston - Edinburgh. The rear five coaches detach and terminate at BNS. I don't think some do that.

Good content
Tornado, what's your fan of any trains
It depends on the type of train and the role that said train will be undertaking
the 350/3 has a smaller cab window compared to the /1 it seems
There seem to be very small differences in the class types
yes the /2 seating with 3+2 is a difference to the 2+2 seating
I thought the Super Voyagers sounder really good passing under the bridge!
The height of the bridge really played well to the sounds of the engines
You must love your channel icon then if you love the traction motor of the 300s
Do you mean the Class 390?
@@Tornado922 yes. My bad. It was the autocorrect
Tornado922, '390049' is the 'virgin express' even though the name plate got removed but I still know of by heart 😉
Very good!
Could you do Guildford Main at some point in the future
I will look into it for you at some stage
Are there ticket barriers at this station?
Yes there are
Strange because when I looked on Google Maps there weren't any and you could just walk straight onto the platforms.

What's a 'train station'? Speak English!
