I have some of Fremen's Fractal, ToneX, and Helix packs. He also supports the packs by updating the presets for free when new firmware is released. Other commercial preset vendors I like are Austin Buddy and Silent Underground Studios. One great thing about these commercial presets is that you can see what the pros do and you can then leverage what they've done in creating your own.
Once again, great video and thanks for putting in the time to help fellow TMP'ers. To answer your question you asked at the end of the video: I never saw the need to purchase 3rd party presets because I've been able to create my own thanks to your tutorials. That said, I did purchase the EVH IR pack from Celestion years ago when I was using the Headrush pedalboard, and I use the same pack with my TMP which makes a HUGE difference in the quality of my presets. I have nothing against 3rd party presets because I'm sure there are a number of players out there that either don't have the time, patience or or the wherewithal to create their own from scratch. And that is not meant as a slight against anyone. I personally know players in my area who have modelers that have no clue as to how to properly use or program their own patches. But, they want that sound and don't know how to get it on their own. And $30-$40 is a good price for a quality preset pack.
Used Fremen's stuff going back to my AX8 and repurchased for my FM9. I now also have the bundle that is available for the TMP. Great stuff. I got stuck on several patches cause they are so good.
I purchased the pack and the presets are awesome. So many useable presets - such a good value and so much fun. Thanks Doug! Any other good 3rd party options out there like this?
I just bought the bundle pack.. I feel like I have a brand new unit!! Sounds killer... and best of all.. the volume for all of them are set evenly... Not all over the place!
Very cool! Thank you! Are the acoustic presets made to be played with an acoustic guitar? Or were they made to simulate an acoustic guitar while playing electric? Or is it that good clean tones sound good on everything?
Hello Doug! I want to thank you for all you do for the Tonemaster community, which I entered this Christmas. Also dig the vibe, I also collect lava lamps haha. I do have a question tho. I have my music lessons on google meet and wanted my teacher to hear the impressive sound quality of the tonemaster directly in line with the computer. The problem is the sound is so degraded it sounds like an old radio. What can I do?
There isn't a simple fix; does Google Meet allow you to use system audio? You'd have to connect the TMP via USB to your computer and then output the audio via a DAW. The output from the DAW should be picked up in the system audio. Sorry, wish I had a better solution for you!
@DougBsDigitalDen I think I found a way but it's quite complex. You must run the tonemaster into reaper then reaper into obs and obs into meet through virtual cable. Still thank you Doug
Another good one Mr. B! BTW I purchased the bundle and I have one question, the IR's that come with each preset appear to be unavailable to be used when attempting to create other custom presets. They are there but are greyed out. Am I doing something wrong? Suggestions please? Thanks very much. Cheers Scott
Hi Scott, I'm not having that problem; I can add Fremen's IRs to an existing or a new preset. I'd try rebooting both the TMP and your computer to see if that fixes it. Good luck!
Thanks for responding Mr. B! I made the mistake of trying to add an IR to a preset that was, unknown to me, (Maxed Out). Thus the greyed out appearance. My Bad.
Doug thank you for all your great videos. Im a new guitar player and thanks to your time i purchased a TMP and i love it. My question is if i bought the bundle of presets and after trying them and maybe deciding i wouldn't ever use some of them is it possible to delete the ones you dont want? Thanks again for your videos and kind words
Yes you can. It's very easy to delete presets. If you open Pro Control and check out your presets, you can click on a preset and you'll see three dots to the right.Click on the dots and you're given two options - Export Preset or Clear Preset. Click on Clear Preset, you'll get an "Are you sure?" message. Click on Yes and the preset gets deleted. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for another great video Doug. Do you know whether the bundle can be downloaded and installed onto the Tonemaster Pro via an iPad rather than via a laptop?
They sound just like all the tones i've been creating - very easy to create great presets on the TMP - if it sounds good then thats all that matters. But maybe i should sell my presets then? They do sound amazing so.....🤔
Fremen here - Thanks for the video Doug ! 😎 May I give the link to my Tone Master Pro youtube playlist here ? I play more of these sounds in it 🙃 ua-cam.com/play/PLmP16eKKE2uMbYxctuvx55eRqwfErCHEw.html&si=UlzcBZ3kKVs-PdWD
Great find Doug. Thanks! Best $42 I've spent in a long time. These are outstanding.
Downloaded the presets from Freman. The rock and acoustic/clean presets are fantastic! Well worth the money.
Glad you like them!
Great video. These are indeed fantastic presets.
Glad you dig them!

Yeah, there is a lot of value in having a good quality preset pack!
I purchased all the Fremen presets, they are incredible!
I'm glad you dig them!

Those metal presets sound legit.
Thanks bro for the info

They're made to simulate an acoustic when you're playing an electric, but I'm sure they'd sound great with an acoustic/electric as well 👍

I haven't tried it myself, but I do remember discussion about using an iPad Pro with a USB-C connection to do stuff like this. Good luck!
I bought the Pink Floyd pack for my gx-100 and tonex.setup . I definitely plan on buying some for my TMP. Totally worth the money.
You won't be disappointed with the TMP presets!
@@DougBsDigitalDen can’t wait to try them!! Thanks Doug
