I like how other festival trailers focus on the huge crowds and big name dj's and stage effects this one focuses on the people smiling and grooving to the music, connecting with the beats and with each other says a lot about the festival i think
The EDM scene has it's dark secrets and may not be "totally" suitable for children but I've been bringing my son to Movement (and DEMF) since before he was a teen. Thanks for adding in the kids to this video as it is our children who will one day make the music of the world. This is a family event and encourage those with kids to join in the celebration that is Detroit music. As for my son he's finally a teen and totally pumped for a weekend of great music and dancing with aspirations to one day to be on the world stage.
After taking a year off to say goodbye to a great man, friend, and brother, I'm stoked to be getting back out to the Plaza. It won't be the same without you, but the music goes on...
Thank you for making this vid! Movement was full of incredible people, mind blowing tunes and life changing vibes. Thank you for sharing a glimpse of this weekend's transformative energy. Hope to see you all at Electric Forest! ~plur~
Looking forward to flying back to MI for Movement 2014. Haven't grooved in Hart Plaza since '09, so I'm looking forward to this one. Great promo vid! Captures the smiling, happy-go-lucky faces, and famous Detroit soul very well. See you party people there! :)
could you elaborate? i am truly fascinated by peoples extreme hatred for one type of electronic music and their obsession with another.. I'd like to know why people think they are better
i don't typically have anything to say in any negative or positive regard. and don't get me wrong here, i'm not trying to pick a fight. there's one thing that i noticed about this video, and it's the exclusion of a certain group(s) of folks. where are the "misfits", the "unattractive", the "weirdos", and the "loners"? these people come to your party to dance and be happy, too. to me, techno has always been about a unity of all walks of life, in a common thread. and that has been especially true to me while in detroit: living and breathing in a city that has risen above it's strife, a city that embraces anything and everything as possibility. why not use your expansive reach to create a portrait of acceptance and togetherness, by including these people in your video, rather than favoring and even glorifying the commonly associated "attractive" persons? we all know there will be "pretty" men and women, boys and girls, what about everyone else? this video lead me to feel rather detached from the movement. love and regards, drew
the festival isn't bad, it's quite good in comparison to others around the country. it's either cheaper or has better talent. but on the subject of talent, instead of booking some retreads why not book a kyle hall or fly in a blawan or even an anthony naples? i just feel the festival could showcase more homegrown talent and feature a little more variety.
ugh, someone held up an 'is this real life sign', and some teeny bopper made a heart shape with her hand? Avicii skrillex teeny bopper edm wastes of space
Watching this while cramming away at the end of 14 hour work day. Can't wait to be in Hart Plaza again and not in my office...

Fantastic trailer!
To the dude who claims the person that disliked this is probably going to EDC...sounds like you're jealous.

The one person who clicked dislike would rather go to Electric Daisy Carnival and probably has 'EDM' tattooed on their body,
what would be wrong with either of those things?

seemed pretty inclusive and diverse to me, and the people in this vid resemble the crowd that i saw there

why get mad at people enjoying the music and having a good time?
