The nostalgia is real! Such a great game, and difficult. Games just aren't the same these days.
That's a nice achievement, guys!! I've never had anyone good enough to play it with me, and alone I only make it to the mushrooms level (no cheats or autosaves or anything). So yeah, being one of the hardest (and most awesome, technologically advanced games for it's time) it's a massive achievement beating it.
Congrats to Robin for not dying once on Level Three! Props to whoever played him

The mad hatters boss fight in this game was just so insane, and i loved it. I even made a book stand with the background of this fight in mind, the checker board path leading into a far off doorway.

Took me a year and a half to finally beat this game when I was younger spent hours playing it
I bet it pissed a lot of kids or adults off every time they would die multiple multiple times to beat each boss stage. That’s what happened to my brother and I, and it eventually got us angry and we stopped playing it 😂
This is one of the hardest two-player co-op games ever

While the SNES Version is my favorite Batman game of all time...this has to be second. Might be in the top 5 hardest games I’ve ever played. Especially as a single player! Great video!

I loved this game as a kid, even though it was hard as hell, not sure what level I got up to. Also, I just read and FAQ on it and never knew your projectiles could level up, that sure as hell would have helped me back in the day.

@@Sesshoumaru888 Actually the game is closer to Gunstar Heroes given the ability to melee, the hp bar and the attack patterns of the bosses. But its a close enough comparison regardless.

Love this game and soundtrack
I'm having flashbacks of throwing my genesis controler away from me in disgust over and over and over. This game had zero mercy at all. And how about the cruel and unusual punishment flying level they just went on and on and on and on and on.... This game, one of my favorites growing up and also one of my most hated. I could never finish the game without cheats. I want another Crack at it now, with my brother playing with me. The musical score is definitely this games high point. I admire the uniqueness of this games music. However, in hindsight this game was basically a watered down contra 3 using the batman name to build the game around. I mean there is not much going on. You spend the entire game dodging enemies and their attacks while throwing millions and millions of batarangs at them. The power up system was simple especially when you collected several of the same color. The punishment for screwing up was brutal and final. Run out of lives and it's game over, regardless of how far you made it. You had a small number of continues and had to unlock more with points. There is no password system. Play for hours and hours only to die fighting Mr Freeze and you lose, now enjoy a game over failure video and it's back to the very beginning. I remember the epic rage quits over this game. Still this game is awesome and highly addictive. The music is just beyond awesome. I always liked how they wrote an original score just for this game. Some prefer the Snes version because it follows the show exactly. This is just a unique batman experience that is truly one of a kind.

Best Batman game of the 90s and for the Sega Genesis. Freaking loved playing this game! You guys did a damn good job on 2-players, made it look easy! Favorite boss was the Mad Hatter, use to beat him without getting hit :D

There are secret 1UPs in some stages if you kill all the enemies fast like in this part 1:37, at 5:45, and at 51:36.

One of my favorite 16bit games but never could defeat mr freeze on my own. Loved the killed soundtrack. Best genesis game imo.

Wow one of my favorite games of all time!
I thought this game was pretty cool when i first played it. The animation was fluid and vibrant, and the co-op feature was beast. My only gripe was the fact that 90% of the combat was projectile throwing which seemed cheap. I expected more punching and kicking going on. Actual fighting seemed more appropriate for an action side scroller game like this.

Mad Hatter was the ultimate hardest boss in this game, need to reach him with weapons maxed out and 2 player if possible.

Took me 7 years to best this game sinc age 6, but when I beat it I mastered it without dying once. Like a boss.
Tip, you cannot die. If you die even once your weapons become useless to defend yourself from the shitload of enemies coming at your way. They just don't do enough damage to be able to handle the many enemy sprites.
Its not a game for the feint of heart but once you master it, it becomes a load of fun.
The only thing that to this day I never understood is what the blue disks were for. I got around using the red and green batarangs for the most part and did well on. My own. Never needed the blue power up batarangs.
This is a hard game but it's no battle toads. That game is on a scale waaaay harder than this one
I also wanted to see the blue disc weapon power up. All the power ups like the orange one shown in this vid!
The green one is just clubs that get bigger and maybe fly off faster.
The first "stage" of blue disc weapon is one row of white stars /sparkles projectiles.

The mad hatter boss battle is beyond ridiculous, I mean imagine if you had to fight a boss battle on battletoads's turbo tunnel IN ADDITION to dodging obstacles.

Esse jogo e top em todos os sentidos.. gráficos, trilha sonora, jogabilidade tudo tudo.. um jogo que até hj se encaixa bem no mundo dos games... Bem fiel ao desenho tbmm... Agora claroooo que esse jogo só n supera o do snes... Que aquele ali foi uma obra de arte.. mas ambos são MT top p mim um dos melhores jogos do Batman já feito

Remember i play this game when i was a kid. That time Mr Freeze like hard as hell. Cant win. Few years later i found this game then try to play and finally beat this game. The Boss fight was kinda easy and i was like "why the hell the game so hard when i was a kid?"
