    Informative video, thank you. I'm going to view a nissan micra tomorrow and wanted to know the layout of the fluid checks before.

      You're welcome! I'm glad you found the video informative. Checking the fluids in a Nissan Micra is a smart step to take before purchasing it. Here's a general overview of where you can locate and check the fluids in a typical car like the Nissan Micra:
      Engine Oil: The engine oil dipstick is usually located near the front of the engine. It's a brightly colored handle, often yellow or orange, labeled "Engine Oil." Pull it out, wipe it clean, reinsert it fully, then pull it out again to check the oil level. The oil should be between the minimum and maximum marks.
      Transmission Fluid: The transmission fluid dipstick is typically located towards the back of the engine bay. It might have a red or black handle, labeled "Transmission Fluid." The process for checking it is similar to checking the engine oil.
      Coolant: The coolant reservoir is usually a translucent plastic tank with markings indicating the minimum and maximum levels. It's often located near the radiator or firewall. Check the level of coolant and ensure it's between the minimum and maximum marks.
      Brake Fluid: The brake fluid reservoir is usually located on the driver's side of the engine bay, close to the firewall. It's a small, translucent plastic reservoir. Check the level of brake fluid and ensure it's within the recommended range.
      Power Steering Fluid: If the car has power steering, the fluid reservoir is typically located near the front of the engine bay. It might have a cap labeled "Power Steering Fluid" or "Hydraulic Fluid." Check the level of fluid and ensure it's within the recommended range.
      Windshield Washer Fluid: The windshield washer fluid reservoir is usually a translucent plastic tank with a blue cap. It's often located near the front of the engine bay. Check the level of washer fluid and refill if necessary.
      Remember to refer to the owner's manual of the specific Nissan Micra you're viewing for precise locations and instructions, as they might vary slightly between different models and years. Also, if you're not confident in checking these fluids yourself, don't hesitate to ask the seller or a mechanic for assistance during your inspection

    Where do you put the water for AC?

    • @sanumotorswithcharlie
      @sanumotorswithcharlie  20 днів тому

      In a Nissan Micra 2014, the water (coolant) for the air conditioning system is not typically added directly to the air conditioning system itself. Instead, the vehicle uses a refrigerant (commonly R134a) for the air conditioning system. However, the coolant for the engine, which helps regulate the engine temperature and can impact the air conditioning efficiency, is added to the radiator.
      Here’s how to add coolant to your Nissan Micra 2014:
      1. **Locate the Radiator and Coolant Reservoir:**
      - Open the hood of your car.
      - Find the radiator, which is usually located at the front of the engine compartment.
      - Locate the coolant reservoir, a translucent plastic container with a cap, often marked with a symbol or labeled as "coolant."
      2. **Check Coolant Levels:**
      - Ensure the engine is cool before checking the coolant level.
      - Look at the markings on the side of the coolant reservoir to see if the coolant is below the "MIN" line.
      3. **Add Coolant:**
      - If the coolant level is low, remove the cap from the coolant reservoir.
      - Add a 50/50 mixture of water and antifreeze (coolant) to the reservoir until it reaches the "MAX" line.
      - Replace the cap securely.
      4. **Check for Leaks:**
      - After adding coolant, check for any leaks under the car.
      For the actual air conditioning system, if you are experiencing issues such as warm air coming from the vents, you might need to have the refrigerant checked and refilled by a professional. This requires specific equipment and refrigerant handling knowledge.
      If you are unsure or uncomfortable performing these tasks, it is always best to consult a professional mechanic.

    Does the Micra have a dipstick to check the transmission oil level in the automatic gearbox? 👍

    How do you check transmission fluid level

    • @sanumotorswithcharlie

      It’s Depending vehicle , if vehicle’s has dipstick, you can check. Some cars can’t check. But there is draining and filling points. You need to fill until come out oil from filling nut.
      Or
      Some cars need to check with dealer and find out oil quantity and fill correct level
      Please follow dealer guide lines.

    Where to top up coolant? In a radiator or reservoir?

    • @sanumotorswithcharlie
      @sanumotorswithcharlie  3 місяці тому

      In a Nissan Micra 2014, you typically top up the coolant in the coolant reservoir rather than directly into the radiator. The coolant reservoir, also known as the overflow tank or expansion tank, is usually a translucent plastic container located near the radiator. It has markings indicating the minimum and maximum levels for coolant. It's essential to ensure the engine is cool before opening the reservoir cap to avoid burns from hot coolant or steam. Once the engine has cooled down, you can open the cap of the coolant reservoir and add coolant as needed to reach the appropriate level between the minimum and maximum marks. Make sure to use the correct type of coolant recommended for your vehicle, usually specified in the owner's manual. If you're unsure or uncomfortable performing this task, it's always a good idea to consult a professional mechanic.
      Thank You

      One more question, I have nissan micra 2011 petrol, today I topped up coolant in reservoir tank and drove car for half an hour and after 4-5 hour I opened the radiator cap and radiator is still low on coolant, it is supposed to pull coolant I think, and there are bubbles in coolant in reservoir tank, please help

      @sanumotorswithcharlie  3 місяці тому

      If your Nissan Micra is losing coolant even after topping it up and driving, there could be a few reasons for this issue:
      Coolant Leak: Check for any visible leaks around the radiator, hoses, water pump, or other components of the cooling system. Leaks could be small and difficult to spot, so a thorough inspection is necessary. Also, check if there are any traces of coolant under the car when it's parked.
      Internal Leak: Coolant could be leaking into the engine through a blown head gasket or a cracked engine block. This type of leak might not be visible externally, but you may notice other symptoms such as white smoke from the exhaust, engine misfires, or a milky appearance in the oil on the dipstick.
      Faulty Radiator Cap: The radiator cap might not be sealing properly, causing coolant to escape. Inspect the cap for any signs of damage or wear and consider replacing it if necessary.
      Air in the Cooling System: Air bubbles in the coolant reservoir could indicate air pockets in the cooling system. Bleeding the cooling system can help remove these air pockets and ensure proper circulation of coolant.
      Cooling System Blockage: A blockage in the cooling system, such as a clogged radiator or a stuck thermostat, can prevent coolant from circulating effectively. This can lead to overheating and coolant loss.
      It's essential to address coolant loss promptly to prevent engine damage due to overheating. If you're not comfortable diagnosing or repairing the issue yourself, it's best to take your car to a qualified mechanic for a thorough inspection and repair. They can perform pressure tests, check for leaks, and diagnose any underlying issues with the cooling system.
      Thank You

      @@sanumotorswithcharlie the main problem is that I'm stuck in a small town right now and there is no mechanic who knows much about Nissan, and they're not reliable mechanics, the nearest city where I can find qualified mechanics is 120-130 km far, that's where I'm going on Monday, my concern is that can i still drive the car that far in this condition, if yes then what precautions should be taken to reach there without further damage. I'm grateful for your amazing response 🙏
