You can tell that these runners don't have the experience of the older sprinters. When handing off the baton, Stay put and don't try to run to outside of track. That impedes other runners cutting in and often leads to falls.
True, but a lot of times in those big meets there's so much equipment on the infield right next to the curb lane there really is nowhere to go and you just have to be very aware of who is around you and get outside ASAP.
@@crosslink1493 I can see what you mean! Back in the day, we were told just to stay in your lane. Don't move. Let the other runners navigate around you. Either way, it's always exciting and potentially calamitous to make those exchanges!
@@mrmosh6632 No he doesn't compete in the 400m however in one of the post-race interviews he mentioned a possibility of being included in that relay if he is needed. I think it was just after he won the 100m gold and was asked what's still to come for him.

Hold on the third leg, the US sprinter impeded the South African sprinter and possibly others when cut I side lanes. A disqualification is in order.
