Like I said, Brodeur benefited from the trap and got exposed by Luongo in 2010. Roy was simply the greatest goalie of all time when it mattered. Not even close. Fleury’s always been a mediocre goalie thriving off of successful teams and never near the level of a prime Price, Holtby, Luongo, Lundqvist, Rinne in the modern era. Stanley Cups are never something rationally worthy of mentioning for comparing individual players, Stanley Cup totals are only worthy of mentioning with comparing different team franchises. Statistically the numbers prove Marty was better than Patty, Brodeur played longer too which just makes this seem too similar to the argument people try to say that Lemieux was better than Gretzky.
