Joe - I recently picked up the BasX-3 to power the front stage of my Denon X-3700H. I hope to achieve the sonic and spatial difference you witnessed when I get it all placed. The Bas-X3 had a much wider footprint than I expected so I need to relocate the gear to another cabinet.
Thanks for the video, it resonated a little bit with me because i think i am about to buy this. I am currently running my LCR with an A3. I am looking to run the side and rear surrounds with the A4. Am looking for real world opinions on it to see if its worth it. We all know that for a bigger price i could get something that will be a bigger jump, but currently its outwith my budget due to a number of recent upgrades, and frankly unnessesary for my setup and room. Would you say it would be worth my time to invest in the A4 for that purpose? I have an all SVS speaker setup, and the A4 would be powering Ultra surrounds for sides, and Prime Bookshelfs for rears.

Haven’t had any issues whatsoever with either the XPA Gen 3 5 channel or the BasX 4 channel Side note I am working on a long term review of the BasX MC-1 home theater processor now… BOOM!!

Unpretentious, humble and honest opinion here. Much appreciated, actually. I just ordered the A2 version to gain more headroom on my system. Can’t wait to get to listening.

Yeah I want to get either an A5 and then an A6 to build an 11 channel setup for 7.1.4 ATMOS. Right now only have a 7.1 no ATMOS with an older AVR that only does DTS HD but since Ive never had a separate Amp to power my speakers Im excited to see the possibilities and hear/feel the difference. Glad you liked it. Hope they last as well as they sound
I started with the A3 and like you was amazed at the clarity and presence within 6 months I had got the A5 so I only have my heights on my Marantz AVR, I listen to a lot of surround music and that now sounds superb. Great amps love the daisy chain triggering as well.
sir great vid,ive been leening on the evotiva 4 channel amp,my stereo system now,older sony str dn1ooo ,bose 901s series 4 with some nice towers with KLH speakers cross networked on top,actualy the towers are nice,my buddy rebuilt them,built tight from the inside out,sealed tight,he said there is no way to blow them up,nice towers

but id like to know the volume headroom like i said now i have a sony av reciever now 80 watts by 7, at max volume no more volume headroom,but the bose plus towers sound nice in multi stereo surround mode
Going to be running one of these on my denon avr‑x3700h for my dolby atmos for my front and rear klipsch height channels and then going to run an a7 on my other 7 channels

@AAC honestly I’ve been listening to a lot of DTS-HD 5.1 stuff and loving it. Atoms or DTSX is not great for me because of my two front height placements. I am however going to build a new theater and correct those issues

You are able to use channels from your receiver that do not have preouts by using a speaker level to line level interface.

Can the emotiva pre out the front left right and center channel from the ts 700?,I think you just said right and left front channels on the vid

What Ohms are ur LCR channels are using ?
8ohm my friend. L/R are Polk rc80i’s 100w max and center channel is Polk 255 c rt 150w max…. Nothing special but I think they sound great!!
