In front of 40,000 fans, Nelson dropped Fenech in the 1st, 2nd and 8th rounds before Mercante waved it off.
A completely different fight to their first encounter. Nelson a rock from the opening bell, Fenech knocked down early and always looking fragile, though busy. After fight, Nelson said 'Fenech is a boy, I am a man'.

Yes I agree Fenech won their first fight but it was as awarded a draw but now apparently it got over turned and now Fenech had been awarded the victory that I think it total horse shit and sour grapes on French’s end 🙄.
But there is zero controversy in this fight Nelson nearly taking French’s head off his shoulders in a crushing KO win for the African right in French’s back yard 🥊
Ps I’m a big Fenech fight fan he was a great little fighter but Jesus common get over the controversial draw will you Hagler had to over his crazy draw with Antuofermo what makes you so blooming special .
