My 40’s have been riddled with injuries and subsequent surgeries and recoveries. I have couple of years left until I’m 50, and I hope to get some of my health and quality of life back - thank you for the inspiration.
This is so valuable and really does pay off! I became focused on my health when I was trying to get pregnant in my mid to late 20's. I am now 68. I am the only healthy person in my circle of friends! I have always been a healthy weight. I adopted a whole foods plant based diet in 1975. Still eating this way and feeling great. Never smoked but was a social drinker. Gave up alcohol last year. I walk 10km per day and have been doing that for 20 years now. My 40 year old sons usually can't keep up with me. I do yoga sometimes but not enough. I'm working on that.
As a 39 year old I find myself doing many of these as time goes on. Always learning and always striving for more to maintain self-actualization. The things you do every day, consistently, help determine the rest of your life.
Dan honestly I love your videos, they're always so helpful. I may not be near my 40s yet, but this feels like it it's something I should have heard in my teens. Thank you so much for this.
Fast running is damaging for my knees so not that cardio. For me best cardio would be to swim under water surface for some 20 meters at the commune pool.
What’s your suggestion of the best place to get blood work done? It’s a great idea and I keep thinking I should more but at regular doctor they don’t do what all I’d like
Staying active throughout the day makes everything so much better, for the mind and body 😊☀️ Greetings from 36 🔥 Eating to 80% full definitely is a great tip too, together with real natural whole foods, and intermittent fasting 👌
We change throughout life. If everyday is a new life. The old version dies off. Skin cells. Fruit trees. Like a caterpillar into a butterfly. I wonder if that is what he meant by this quote. "Don't neglect life by worrying about Death. - I don't know what is the meaning of death, but I am not afraid to die - and I go on, non-stop, going forward [with life]. Even though, I, Bruce Lee, may die some day without fulfilling all of my ambitions, I will have no regrets. I did what I wanted to do and what I've done, I've done with sincerity and to the best of my ability. You can't expect much more from life." Bruce Lee.
This may sound weird but raising my shoulders for a while throughout my day when I’m just chillin has helped me engage a whole plethora of muscle groups I normally don’t feel. It’s suuuuuuper nice
Excellent list for living a healthy happy long life. I am 67 and adhere to many of these tips, rules. My kids don’t listen to their mom but maybe they’ll listen to you 🙏. I am passing this video along to them (38 & 40) TY ❤
Well past my 40s and living proof that what you are saying stacks up. It is not about living forever but that life is sooooo much better if you are fit Still rubbish at meditation 😂 but in your 60’s you get over yourself too

@@nataliiateteruk585 I’d have knee look at by MD. In an ideal world, swimming is the best cardio. I don’t a pool, don’t trust my gym pool, and takes too much time pre/post swim. Otherwise I’d become a gym bro.
Yeah I'm 45 and agree with the first couple. Cleaning up my diet and staying in shape so I don't burden my kids. Also don't care as much about career, spending more time with my kids is more important.

Happy for you. A prime example of moderate but consistent movement/activity is the best way for long term health.

He doesn't look 40+. I'll take these advises. Thank you

Find a functional medicine doctor in your local or surrounding area.
Hey kiddo, how did you get to be so smart at such a young age?😊

Excellent video; insightful, practical, harmonious, and aimed for aging powerfully. Thank you so much Dan.
Found you just in the nick of time. Approaching my 40s and I want to do it right. You're like a breathe of fresh air in the fitness industry.
Fire vid, love the long term thinking approach
I’m 37 and on a similar journey. Thank you for your videos bro, I really look up to you, and think your advice is amazing. 🤙🏾❤️

I’m just turned 35 and I feel like I’ve finally woken from my dream of youth. This is incredibly helpful!!! THANK YOU!

22:12 - This is ironic since you're trying to add 40 new habits to your life. 😂
Man I'm in my 30s. We need to cure aging let's do it. Someone here is really smart I believe in you.

Look into periodic fasting. Intermittent and 36-72 hour fast few times a year.
Love your vids bro. These are very thoughtful and inspiring. Great work!
Going to start these in my 30s I’m glad I did skin care in my 20s it’s paying off

Miguel sucks
Need to add Amor Fati 😊

Hey man.. you don't really need music or it can be a bit subtle. In this vid, it's distracting
Didnt even notice it
Not at all bro
Damn you get distracted by the wind aswell?
Didn’t even bother me. I appreciate it.
I agree. Music is louder than necessary. And distracting.
I wouldn’t sprint for cardio, as it’s damaging to legs overall. Do Stair master and progressive get faster til your almost running for 25-40 minutes.
Stair master is damaging for my knees so not that cardio.

😢 New age music playong in the background of your video is bad for your soul.
Glad you’re enjoying creating UA-cam content. You’re crushing it!
Dan, you also invested in a financially fruitful life, as well....😂😂😂
Absolutely loved the ideas. I'm on similar mindset ❤❤❤
Bro how you keep your hair and hairline so thick? I’m 41 and it is thinning out bad.
I come from good hair genetics.
Great content Dan , nice Bruce Lee painting ser !

At least they will tell you this cryptonite when they are angry with your denying decision for them.
@@nataliiateteruk585 yes but I can delay that day as much as possible. Eventually we all end up back in diapers, unless we die by accident.
