Thank you for the close-up shot of the pcb , I'm on vacation currently and forgot to take my charger , no chargers available in stores so had to figure out how to connect wires of a cut usb cable to it , the only problem was finding the polarity and with this your video helped a lot , so thanks again !
Thanks a lot! That gave me the courage to dismantle it :) [It would be prudent to say that I've got also the new Mi Band 9] I wore my less-thant-a-year band 8 in the sea - perhaps 15 min swimming. Then, the green sensor went permanently on, and no more heart measurements :( Certainly, that drain the batter enormously. As I mostly need the steps, the timer, the clock and the music remote, I scrape off that sensor. All the rest works to my satisfaction. Weird, but I didn't have to fight with sticky remnants of a glue (as seen on the video)!!! Only soft rubber seal under the plastic cover. I even saw the salty traces of the place from where the sea water entered... That surprised me very much as I had over 3y Mi Band 6 and was always swimming with it. What's going on with your quality Xiaomi?!
Thanks for this video very useful. I find it quite annoying that one has to disassemble the entire watch just to switch the display. I believe for changing the battery you only have to remove the back though.
I have miband 8 and it does not show up in Bluetooth on any device or connects to mi app. Tried different cell phones. Is there a hard reset of Bluetooth or something?
