    Im always getting asked How Much Money Can You Make From Scrap Metal while magnet fishing and its only limited to your imagination and hard work but this video will show you how easy it is to earn easy money and how i do it.
    I go magnet fishing because i enjoy being outdoors, cleaning the waterways and finding cool things while im at it, most of the things we find while magnet fishing uk are junk/scrap some of the things are cool and interesting.
    i get asked alot what do i do with the scrap metal once ive fished it out of the water and this video will take you through what i do, how much money i make and whaat you can do to make money while enjoying your new hobby of magnet fishing.

    I dont know what I imagined weighing scrap in to be, but it seemed a lot more straight forward than I imagined . Always loved going to a car scrap yard with my dad as a kid in Manc to get some car parts..........top vid again

      Iv invested in a strong magnet and cord only to end up not using it :/
      The problem im having is i cant remive all the stuff i bring to the surface... i dont own a trailer ... i own a car but i dont want to ruin it

      drasticg I only asked you this question the other day because I’m thinking about getting a pickup and trailer to do garage clearances etc. £90 for 2 small trailers is not to be sniffed at mate, especially in this day and age where a working wage is not enough.

    Ive been scrapping for years. Ally copper and brass mainly.theres just not enough money in steel scrap in Australia to bother. At least its out of the water and getting recycled. Love your work.

    Hello from Manitoba, Canada! Your scrap ferrous steel prices are sure higher than ours....That load would have been lucky to garner $10 or so (about 5 Pounds) from our local yards. Am amazed at how much stuff magnet fishers pull up in the UK....Our rivers seem immaculately clean in comparison...

    4:05 I actually work on the canal in Salford quays and we have hiyabs like that on the boat, however we only get stuff off the surface so there is never anything valuable.

    same goes for germany. where i live, there is not much (big) scrap metal in our rivers and/or lakes. you have to collect many small parts to make a lot of money of it.

    One thing to consider, here in the US people will cut a junk full size pickup in half (behind the cab. They put a hitch on the front and a bit of wiring for brake lights, turn signals and running lights. It's got a built in tail gate. Just take off the prop shaft. Some guys will put a dump feature on the pickup bed, either manual or power assist. Just a thought. I like your trailer. Just the right size for you.

    this is great u get money for doing there job clean the waterway .have u tried alumium cans they bring in money here i get them and sell them and scrape metal to all most like u do but i can't magnet fish for it have problems with my legs so u just do what u can good luck my friend

    Great that you say it the good way Mate that you buy your trailer from it and that you pay the fuel from it to drive around 👍 buy new magnet from it etcetra. Most people only think and see the 🤑🤑🤑 but not think that it also cost you money.
    For me is the most important thing that i can pay the fuel from it to see more new location's. First we need to investing in magnets and stuf before we can make money and have fun because the fun is the most important thing in this hobby.

    I'd suggest renting out a couple magnets and ropes, bringing like a parent and kid with you. There's a lot of people who want to try but not really buy a big magnet. Like a master class with drasticg type thing

    u should try the canal of Darlaston rd where the old copper factory was bet there some stuff in there and I do know the non ferouse is not magnetic / it must b better in the winter this fishing lark as the water is clearer tight lines lol

    That's what alot of people around here do with the scrap metal cash it in . We also have people that do cellar and attic clean outs and they get to keep all they clean out. My husband does lawn work and painting as side jobs for extra money every little bit helps.

      Hi mate rebar is the metal bars or mesh construction workers put into concrete, once the concrete is set the bars help to keep it rigid and strong
      I find loads around bridges from when they where constructed

    I weighed in 5 kg copper wire i found tidying my shed. Was going to bin it . But got £15 at scrapyard. They paid by cheque. Much easier if they transfer it into bank like your yard done..

    I would suggest testing everything with a weaker couple kg magnet that may be has alloy on it, separate it and weigh it as either clean aluminium or dirty depending how much you can clean the steel or other metals off it, have made as much as 400 quid more off old engines this way than straight scrap

    Over here in Canada when you bring scrap in they give you cash for it right there on the spot we also separate the aluminum and copper and all that stuff but they pay out in cash.👍👍🇨🇦

      We seperate metals but cant get cash as theifs used to steal all the copper cables from railways etc so going into the bank stopped the thefts slighlty

      Yeah we have that problem over here with stealing copper in that I'm not quite sure how they deal with that parta but every time I've brought stuff in that I've collected or found we get cash but there is a big problem with thieves stealing copper and precious metals.

    Excuse the ignorance because I’ve never been to a scrap yard to get money but how would you get more by separating the rebar and poles from lighter metals? Surely if it’s all together and you get weighed a 2nd time it would consolidate the weight? Thanks for the video interesting to see what happens behind the scene :)

    That's a lot of work for the money. But it seems to pay off well plus you are having fun. Are you getting better at backing up that trailer LOL? I've done my fair share of scrapping. We call the weight Bridge a scale.

      I drive onto a way bridge on the left and they weigh the car snd full trailer, i empty trailer then drivd onto the second bridge and they re weigh the car and empty trailer
      You get paid on the difference in weight you unloaded

    Just come back from some mashing. Absolutely knackered.
    Seems I have found a virgin site (at last)
    Large safe
    Small kids bike
    something with a motor (no idea) and lots of wire (yay copper)
    a very old brief case (metal lined)
    5p in loose change
    2 cents euros
    some various metal bits.
    tons left, every throw actually landed on metal.
