Why don’t you take out deshaun Watson? He’s a big star in the NFL. You might be missing out on some money if you skip over him. Better start checking his book value
That's a great question. I think they're just stuck in their ways. Same reason they continue to make memorabilia cards that pretty much nobody wants. They think they can call it a "hit" and then people will want them, but absolutely nobody does. Much better to simply stick with parallels and autos, and probably would decrease manufacturer costs as well.
Hmmm....good question. By vintage, I'm guessing you mean the 80s because unopened stuff from the 70s costs more than a ventilator in a coronavirus outbreak. A lot of my older 80s wax is locked up in BBCE boxes, but I do have some rack packs from 85 or so that I might open up in a video.
I tend not to pull a lot of the retired players just because they make so many cards of them. To me, Elway stands out as more of a collector favorite than Steve Young, so that's why I pulled him out -- more chance that someone might be interested in that card.
