- Brilliant Effort from the Town To Defend the Trophy but sadly it was not To be.If Harford could have tucked away His Second Chance then it could have been a different story at 2-0 up.A Couple of borderline decisions do not help.Mick Harford Scores the Towns Goal.

Good old days. Loved the old Wembley

Our Second Home Wembley.....🏆......two great passes from Gaynor.....Webb.....Then Clough......🏆👍✊⚽⚽⚽🥅🥅🥅
I was there - uncle is Garry Parker 🎉
Have you or your Uncle forgiven Gazza yet?
@@That_Random_Bloke I haven’t! I think that my uncle has. He’d look at it as Forest had enough chances to win it
U REDS!! Totally dominated that final. Wembley was our second home back then, very hard to believe that it was 1992 when we last played there!!! COYR!
Hard to believe Luton were one of the best cup sides of the 80s
@@allthekingshorses7178 Hard to believe that Forest were 😂😂
Those were the days when cup finals weren't always contested by the elite, Luton beating Arsenal a year earlier was one of the great cup finals ever
As a Hatter, I'd have to concede Forest were the better side overall, particularly in the second half, although Luton didn't make the most of opportunities in the first half. Tommy Gaynor was slightly offside on one goal but I really didn't notice that in real time at the ground. Sealey's (God rest his soul) moment of madness didn't help our cause and In the commentary Pleat said "he'll be disappointed with himself for that". Somehow, I never felt bitter about losing that final to a wonderful club who were sensational in the 70s and 80s, always have a tradition of playing good, clean football even now. I recall Bristol City gave Forest a real scare over two matches in the semi final. I do, however, feel hugely upset about not getting to the FA Cup final in 1985 when we lost 2-1 to Everton in a game we largely dominated but the referee gave Everton at least ten ludicrous but crucial decisions in their favour.
@@thomasgray5406 It was great to see Luton in cup finals especially beating Arsenal in 1988!! Though I was hoping that they’d lose to Rotherham in the penultimate match of this season but only because it would’ve helped towards relegating Derby!😷😎👍🏻
Luton fan here, how did we lose that gamr😂game
All I remember was a big punch up before game
Hodge dived, he shinned it and dived.
Giving penalties.
Goalies still don't know when to just stand up and block instead of going to ground.
It's the one are of the game that hasn't improved.
How the hell did Luton even lose this game?
Borderline decisions hahahahhahahaha
You were outplayed....I was at the game
