Welcome to the Ruger 10/22 club. This was the first gun I ever owned. My dad bought me one in 1985 and I still own it in its original state. I have another one that is blinged out. Your first three upgrades for this should be:
Automatic bolt release
Extended mag release
BX 25 round magazine
These will vastly improve your experience with this rifle and are inexpensive.

@ I got mine at midwest shooting range and sticker was right around 310-330. I got 10% off for having a member ship so just under $300 for mine.
