i like how you say you dont need to spend alot to have fun and its true. my friend and i built a salmon trolling rig out of a 12 ft john boat for a salmon derby. we were the only ones to catch fish that weekend and everyone else had a huge boat not catching anything, moral of the story you dont need to be rich to catch big fish just need to know what your doing

Hey Steve, I have messaged You before, and watch Your Videos quite often, but was wondering, The fish you call white Perch, others call, white bass, so Which is correct.

Two different fish, White bass get bigger than white perch and if you know what you looking at there is a big difference in the two fish.

Very entertaining and good fishing especially with your rig. Going to have to try that on my local that's loaded with white perch but they are mostly small so catching more than one at a time would make it more fun. Just wanted to ask you about your rig - you put a swivel between the spoon and jigs and tie the jigs directly to your line? Enjoyable video.

Good fishing. A good fiberglass boat has a smooth ride and I'm not giving that up. Yeah, I look good going across the water, can handle the waves of those big boats and I can put the fish in the boat too.

I bet you can put fish in the boat, I have owned many bass boats and loved them all, I'm just saying that everyone might can't afford a nice boat. I am trying to show people, that you don't have to spend a lot of money to catch fish, if I wanted A nicer boat I would go buy one, don't think I can't afford it. I would rather have the money in the bank. It's called smart thinking. Thanks for watching. Sorry that I offended you. PS. I don't have boat payment.

it's all good. I know what you're saying. More important to have the skill to put those fish in the boat and being happy. Happy trails. love your vids Very entertaining. good day

Hey William, at one time lake Monticello had a lot of white bass in it, if you are familiar with the two, you can tell the difference. I've only caught eight white bass in lake Monticello this year. They look quite a bit different side by side.

I think the game department put them in the lake on accident here in South Carolina. They don't get as big as a white bass. The South Carolina record is less than 2 lbs. I've caught white bass 3lb. Also there is no limit on white perch in South Carolina any more.

Google a picture of a white bass and a white perch together, and you can see the different.

    Hi Steve,
I plan going to lake Monticello this coming weekend (OCT 17). Do you have any recommendations where the best location for catfish this time of year? I’ve been a few times and had little to no luck. I’m sure the fish are there they just tend to outsmart my dad and I. Any advice would be helpful. We are still learning the lake and enjoy going. Great channel. I enjoy watching! Thank you again,

Hey Christopher, I think the best areas for catfish now would be in the deep water channels. Hope that helps and thanks for watching.
