I am already looking forward to conquering this trail again--including The Cutoff! I just have to wait for Roy to get his MJ done so I have someone to run it with! And our friend Matt Ness ran it for the first time yesterday, and loved it--I bet he'd join us, too.
We had her up on the lift yesterday, and it looks like the damage was pretty minimal, as things go. Parts have been ordered, and I'll share the details in a future video. But indeed, fun times! She'll be back on the rocks really soon.
You know, you're right! I LOVE the technical aspect of wheeling. I so wish I could get into WeRock! I think that would be a perfect fit for my style. A girl can dream... As I think about it, this was not her worst trail breakdown. You know the stock three-piece steering column on these TJs... well, one of the u-joints fell apart on a TWO rated trail. She was loaded onto a trailer to get off that one, and all I really needed was a new bolt and a clockspring to get her going again. But this time, I was still able to drive her onto the trailer. That's sort of why Lemonhead is an up and coming project--because Penny's worst breaks are on those low-rated trails! LOL!
looks like a great time

Fun times, sad times, poor penny

it's not fun if you aren't pushing it hard enough to break something.
