I’m not trying to be a hater or anything, I understand that she works hard for being an idol. I’m just kinda fed up with her being pushed so hard ONLY because of her looks. I don’t say she’s not talented, but it’s not her talent that causes her constant presence in the media. It’s always that she went viral for her looks, or all that fan accounts posting her pictures and simping stans talking about how perfect she is. Honestly, it’s unimpressive and uninspiring. K-pop has always focused on appearance way too much, but the direction it’s going right now makes it embarrassingly boring, it’s not even quirky and fun anymore. Looking at pretty people and gushing over their prettiness is indeed boring. I would prefer the talk about music, about the art those people are creating and performing. Not the mention that this naturally pretty girl went through the procedures to obtain this „perfect” look and that makes her fans who look up to her insecure about the way they are. Maybe she should be a model or something, or an influencer and that would be fine that she’s popular because she’s pretty. And too bad plastic surgery is involved, because that makes makes her main selling point which wasn’t interesting to begin with invalid. Now I’m waiting for someone to tell me how I’m jealous and a hater not appreciating her work, because she has written 3883939271 songs and is an outstanding artist.
