✨Quasar✨
Quasars are enigmatic objects that appear to be stars, however, their spectra show features that are unlike anything seen in other stars. They are in fact the extremely bright cores of galaxies, powered by the most mysterious forces in the universe - the supermassive black holes which are so dense that they can pull in vast amounts of matter, creating a disk of dust around them that heats up emitting exceptionally large amounts of energy and light.
Quasars are some of the brightest objects in the universe and can outshine entire galaxies. They are also incredibly distant, located billions of light-years away from Earth. This means that they might also be the oldest objects in the universe.
Both beautiful and strange, quasars are the cosmic anomalies. They challenge our preconceptions of what objects in the universe should be like, pushing the boundaries of what we know about the universe and bending the fabric of spacetime itself.
