Prince Solomon, with his closest man, Ibrahim Pargam Ibrahim receives the bad news in a hunt. His father Yavuz Sultan Selim Khan passed away. Prince Suleyman sets out for Istanbul without waiting. Prince Süleyman quickly reaches the capital. He attends the culus ceremony without waiting. His life changed in one day. He started his life as Sultan Süleyman.
Meanwhile, a galley loaded with slaves coming over the Black Sea is heading towards Istanbul. The hottest of the slaves is not yet aware that he is on a journey that will change his destiny. He is rebelling helplessly to return.
Sultan Süleyman wants to show what kind of sultan he is by the commands he gave on the first day of his sultanate. But not everyone will like these decisions. Sultan Süleyman does not hesitate to challenge all of Europe with the messages he sends.
Alex, despite all his rebellion, is brought to the Topkapi palace. His attitude attracted the attention of Valide Sultan from the first moment. But it won't be long before Alex learns the rules of the palace. He chooses a great target. Alex, Sultan Suleyman's first night on the way to attract his attention. Sultan Suleiman's wife Mahidevran just arrived from the palace of Manisa. He is looking forward to seeing his wife.
Şehzade Süleyman, en yakın adamı Pargalı İbrahim ile birlikte çıktığı bir avda alır kötü haberi. Babası Yavuz Sultan Selim Han vefat etmiştir. Şehzade Süleyman hiç beklemeden, İstanbul’a doğru yola çıkar. Şehzade Süleyman hızla payitahta ulaşır. Hiç beklemeden cülus törenine katılır. Bir günde hayatı değişmiş. Sultan Süleyman olarak padişahlık hayatına başlamıştır.
Bu sırada, Karadeniz üzerinden içi köle yüklü bir kadırga, İstanbul’a doğru gelmektedir. Kölelerden en ateşli olanı ise, kaderini değiştirecek olan yolculuğa çıktığının henüz farkında değildir. Geri dönmek için çaresiz bir şekilde isyan etmektedir.
Sultan Süleyman, padişahlığının ilk gününde verdiği buyruklarla nasıl bir padişah olduğunu göstermek ister. Ama bu kararlar herkesin hoşuna gitmeyecektir. Sultan Süleyman ise gönderdiği mesajlarla, tüm Avrupa’ya meydan okumaktan çekinmez.
Alex, tüm isyankarlığına rağmen, Topkapı sarayına getirilir. Onun bu tavrı ilk andan itibaren Valide Sultan’ın dikkatini çeker. Ama Alex’in sarayın kurallarını öğrenmesi uzun sürmez. Kendisine büyük bir hedef seçer. Alex, Sultan Süleyman’ın karşısına çıktığı ilk gecede onun ilgisini çekmeyi başarır. Sultan Süleyman’ın eşi Mahidevran ise Manisa sarayından yeni gelmiş. Eşi ile görüşmeyi sabırsızlıkla beklemektedir.

Actually, during the Ottoman Empire a concubine wasn't allowed to have more then one son to avoid conflicts between full blooded siblings and too much rivarly, so Hurrem and Suleiman broke both harem rules and even Islamic chamber rules so that she birthed him many children. That was what gave her the most power.

Gulnihal was envious to hurrem's fate as the sultan's favorite from beginning, she also dream to sleep with the sultan to have gifts from him esp the fur for winter and the chamber. Thats why gulnihal secretly convert to Islam, learned how to be Sultan's concubine thru Sumbul. She made this secret to hurrem. But Ibrahim used gulnihal to break hurrem and sultan's relationship. Ibrahim bring gulnihal to the sultan's privy chamber. When hurrem knew this she put poison to the fur the sultan gave to gulnihal which wounded her face. Thats hurrem telling ibrahim that no one even a bestfriend can mess between her and the sultan.

Ultimately, it is a sad story, despite her victories. She was kidnapped from her people, fell in love with the enemy, made heirs for him, and (worst of all) likely converted from Christianity to Islam, thereby losing Jesus. Very sad.
No one loses anything. It's just a name. It's not like her faith in God changed.
She did not loose Jesus, because a muslim cannot be called a muslim without believing Jesus. Her conversion only changed her belief that Jesus is God's Prophet but not God.

Christians know that Jesus is the only son of God, and His sacrifice on the cross covers our sins, thereby allowing us to be saved and to be made fit for heaven. When you deny the divinity of Christ, his work on the cross, and his role as Savior and Son of God, then you do not have Jesus and you have no salvation. It is what it is.

You can but it's definitely not recommended as the chance of having problems is high.
Well, it's not recommended nowadays to get pregnant that soon, but at the time they would not have known the consequences I guess. The series do mention a 40 Day wait, but I think that is to be sure the woman had healed and stopped bleeding from the birth which can last several weeks depending on various factors.
Yes you can. Although it's not medically recommended as it may cause problems. But many women do carry a second baby without any problem and the baby is fine as well.
You can get pregnant very quickly after giving birth . Right after birth is actually one the easiest times to get pregnant. Everything gets cleaned out thus a better chance of conception.

@@clannard1 Yes she had a choice. Most of the girls don't become muslims for that reason. If you're not a convert, you don't get to the sultan's door. One of the two government's departments that the prime minister was not allowed to interfere was household, so Ibrahim would not have ever know what went on in the harem nor have the ability to choose any concubine by default manipulating Suleiman through his family.
