My story is similar to yours Paula. I had my children out of wedlock and my granddaughter was born out of wedlock. My mum dad were addicts. I've struggled with addiction all my life. I had a major breakdown and was getting tormented by a bad spirit. Thats how i found god. God please break this family curse away from us. Amen

Some of the repercussions of sin over time are coldness or lukewarmness towards God, spiritual blindness, spiritual deafness, spiritual drunkedness, spiritual deception, spiritual darkness, bondage, demonic oppression or possession, perversion, addiction, idolotry, depression, anger, emptiness, desperation, denial, stunted spiritual growth, week moral compass, apostasy, a hardened heart, a loss of conscience, depravity, and enmity with God.

Paula, there's no curse for born-again Christians. It is still possible to commit sin because we "are in the flesh". But if we are "living in the Spirit", i.e. Holy Ghost baptized, we are no longer "living in the flesh" (although we are in the flesh). And since we are no longer "living in the flesh", there is no curse that could possibly harm us.

Sir I dont agree with you. I am a born again christian. but because of some proclamation made by my fore fathers generations back, our lives are stagnant. nothing seems to work for us. These are curses and need to be broken.
Everyone has problems, and it is not because of our ancestor's sins. They brought a blind man to Jesus and asked him if his blindness was due to his parents sins. And guess what Jesus said: NO! The curse of deutronomy is only for Israelites (i.e. those under the law). We in the new covenant are not under the law and therefore the OT curses dont apply to us.
